^Agreed, Frank. It's nice when we share an opinion like that.

I just think it's all very shortsided. The MA toy are very cool, but I see them as an experiment. Let's see how long they last. There's no way they'll replace the vinyls in the long run, not when Bandai has been doing them affordably for almost 30 years. There'll always be a market for them somehow, even if they're not making them AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME.

Please do. Pointing the "gun of truth" is a tad irritating. Especially when the gun is loaded with false information.

This thread cannot discuss these figures for ten posts without spiraling into a fight.

You see an experiment, I see progress.

@Uncanny- What exactly is false information here? Do you have news of a new vinyl Godzilla release that will coexist with the SHM line? And how many times did a hopeful fan have their bubble burst around here for no reason at all by someone like Legion? By all means though... make this about you and me.

FACT: as the only existing Godzilla line S.H. Monsterarts has replaced the vinyl line as Bandai's standard line. For now.

I could be wrong, but to me it really does seem like just below the surface of the pro-MA camp these days is a tiny little bit of giddiness that the vinyls have become second-class citizens to the hyper articulated action figures that apparently we should have been getting the whole time, as if the 30 years of quality output from Bandai was leading up to this glorious moment and now the vinyls can retire. So help me that's how it feels. It's like people prematurely dancing on the vinyl's collective grave over a line that's not even six months old.

I'm pretty sure it won't take long before "That's a nice vinyl, but can it do the splits?" becomes an accepted meme across the interwebz. If it does, I want credit. LOL

... and with those two posts, we're starting a moratorium on the vinyl vs MonsterArts debate in this thread. I will delete any posts on the subject starting now, and if I catch anybody at it again, I'll dish out warnings. I hate to do this, but you guys seriously can't seem to help yourselves.
Now it's dark...

I've heard a few weeks before, but it just baffles me... HOW could it take this long?

Seriously, but do you think i should preorder Rodan and moguera from toyfreakz too, or will that be a bad idea since its taking them such a long time to ship spacegodzilla

I wouldn't. AmiAmi got Space G here 2 wks from the release date & I was able to track it. Total cost incl. SAL Registered shipping, $78 & change US. And I've pre-ordered Moguera & Fire Rodan from them.

AmiAmi and HobbyLink Japan are two of the best places to preorder these items.
Unfortunately both don't stock the web exclusives. I usually just order them from Nippon-Yasan instead.

Personally/fortunately, I don't mind waiting a little bit to get 'em, so the cheaper for me, the better.

Can't wait for Rodan. Best looking release Fire Rodan has ever had...

Wow. skreeonk. This:

If anyone is considering getting this... don't. Its not that great, and no sites have it up for a decent price. I repeat: skreeonk. This.

Yeah, I often regret buying mine, especially since Fire Rodan's coming with a new and better red spiral beam effect.
The tanks and planes - eh, I thought they'd look good on display, but turns out, they are purely eyesores. I keep them boxed most of the time.

Fortunately, I did NOT have to pay that RIDICULOUS price.

One thing I can honestly say as a Godzilla fan is that I wish this whole line was an inch taller. 7 inch scale. That way it could fit in with the UA figures better.

Then why don't ya?

Yeah, I bought the Godzilla effects pack, and I really like it. Not worth the initial $50-some, but its pretty cool. I don't regret buying it.

Plus I have a use for it, so double-plus good.
