Exactly. I still think the main reason why the 60's Showa flicks still hold up is because they roped in audiences with a colorful and imaginative world that appealed to all ages. That's what I'd like to see for the upcoming film rather than some uber-dark film that's filled with over the top blood and gore and people dying. I think it'd be as silly as Godzilla flying across the screen and battling a giant Charles Barkley.
