I saw this on tv in the mid 1980's and basically forgot about it. When I played the first NES Godzilla game a few years back and saw Gezora as one of the boss monsters, I remembered the movie and realized that it was a Toho flick (I originally assumed it was by some other company).

Yeah. Tokyo Shock/Media Blasters released on DVD years ago.

I've been trying to see this movie, but can't get ahold of the DVD. *sigh*

Someday....

Is it pretty common to find on Amazon? If so, I might get it for Easter.

Yes it is, as a matter of fact I almost bought it on Amazon last week, but opted for something else instead.

Yeah, while some of the Godzilla titles are going out of print on DVD, many of the other kaiju flicks from Toho can still be purchased from around $15 and appear to still be in print.

Here is Space Amoeba's listing, which has it at $15:

Kamoebas is one of my top ten favorite monsters. Something about the craggy bastatd just appeals to me.

He's a super cool monster for sure. I was psyched to see him pop up in Tokyo SOS, even if it was just as a corpse-cameo. I wish the Yog guys could have crossed over into the main Godzilla series like Rodan, Mothra, Gorosaurus, Baragon and Manda did.

First time watching this on tv years ago I must have realized it was made by Toho because I remember hoping that Godzilla would eventually show up and beat the tar out of all the Yog monsters.

As do I. Godzilla has never fought an octopus or squid like monster in the Toho films. Seeing him and Gezora in combat would be satisfying.
