It's hard to get over a person if you really had feeling for her. It took me over a year to get over it and I remember I try to look for other people that there is no one that I really like.

Well...not to sound rude, but it's even harder when you were actually intimate with that person. Having a thing for someone that went nowhere is much, much easier to get over than someone who you actually had a connection with (no pun intended) for a short time.

As for "dropping" girls that reject you? It's for the best, but I'd be lying if I said it's something I've actually done myself. It's a lot harder than it seems.

This is gonna sound odd, but it honestly it varies depending on the two. Despite the fact Kristi and I were pretty open, and intimate she treated me poorly. I was only ever worth her time when it was convenient for her, and god help if I caught her on a bad day. But the second she needed something, I was expected to rush to her. I was just too lovestruck (or stupid, could be either or) to see that until I just decided I wasn't gonna entertain her anymore.

Now, I don't know what you've been through, maybe you had more favorable and understanding women in your life. I honestly hope you have. Maybe it could work for you, and that's great. I'd had enough though, it wasn't worth the heartache. So I let her go.

Speaking honestly, that was a 1000% improvement in my mood. Hard as it was, much as it hurt at the time. I'd do it again. Without a second thought.

I guess most of them view you as a love interest? I remember one girl that I knew had most of her male friends view her as a love interest and ask her out several times.

Well in fairness to them, sometimes it's hard to discern a genuine affinity, from you just being horny, and them just being there.

I think they can be, given at least one of two qualifications.

1) Neither finds the other attractive or their "leagues" are so disparate that neither sees the other as even a hypothetical possibility

2) One or both of them are already happily with someone else

No... :|
They like me just as a friend/have a significant other.

Guys are stupid if they try to be friends with a girl just to get in their pants.
They just baww they're in the friendzone.

I'm with HB on this one. It is possible for males and females to just be friends. I have plenty of female friends and they don't view me as a love interest nor do I view them as such.

Exactly nothing wrong with being friends with opposite sex. What if you have same interests and just talk about that stuff with them.
Thinking it's impossible is a bit sexist imo.

There's a key difference between "would" date someone and "wanting" to date someone. Most of my female friends I probably "WOULD" date (they're attractive, we get along, why not?), but I don't "want" to because it isn't a big deal and I'm perfectly content where I am now.

Neither of these cont.

1.) So if the girl's hot, and the guy's an uggo..... what? Or vice versa.

2.) Doesnt stop people now as it is!

You didn't read the conditions, dude. You have to read them if you want to have ANY hope of comprehending them. I know it's a chore to have to read all of those words, but sometimes skipping words can change the meaning of the sentence you're reading.

I said NEITHER finds the other attractive on condition one. On condition two I specified HAPPILY with someone else. People in satisfying relationships don't tend to cheat.

I should also clarify that those conditions are what must be met to be "purely" platonic. And what I mean by that is basically... it's tough to be "just friends" with a girl you have feelings for or vice versa. Not saying they can't still be friends, but at that point I think it's not "purely" platonic, which is admittedly perhaps an unreasonably high standard to meet.

Ive had good ones and bad ones. My real 'serious' ones are leaning more towards the bad side. I also have high standards, and they work against me.

EDIT:
And Jomei, I read all the words. Both your points are meaningless. I dont understand how to you try to come off as so progressive in some topics, but so naive in this one..

No, you didn't read the words. If you had you wouldn't have made objections that were already qualified within my original post.

You asked, "So if the girl's hot, and the guy's an uggo..... what? Or vice versa."

My original statement read: "Neither finds the other attractive"

Do you understand yet? Neither--NEITHER--finds the other attractive. I answered your question in my original statement, yet you asked the question anyway. That's embarrassing for you, and I'm trying to help, but I'm running out of ways to explain this any more simply. If neither party finds the other attractive in the least, it is at least possible for them to be platonic friends. Do you... understand yet?

Playing the victim card doesn't work with me, watsy.

You were misrepresenting my argument, and I simply tried to correct you. I'm not belittling you by pointing out your refusal to read words on the screen right in front of your face. Nice attempt to distract me with a red herring, though. I take it by your resorting to these tactics that you've found your mistake now.
