I was thinking more along the lines of a creature made of pure energy but it can still interact with the physical world and even fight T&C should it choose to.

Kinda like the Crackler from Godzilla: The Series or Rahu from Custom Robo.

Actually, I think Mothra ought to get a new film of her own. Battra would fit the villain role perfectly for that.
