Sorry, I just can't picture that at all. I don't think they would fit at all. The head of the Oni-Goji was designed to be for a very large Godzilla. Making it "smaller" and giving it pupils would just make it look really odd.

Pupils? No, the dead white eyes must stay. I just love the huge teeth and boxlike, dinosaurian head.

FW Goji is good, but he is too big at 100 meters IMO. 60 - 70 meters (196 - 230 feet) is the sweet spot if you ask me.

I love them too..but again, it wouldn't look right, especially with the white eyes.

I was not considering the portrayed size of the character and was looking at the suit merely from a design and execution stand point. My issue with the presentation of height, overall in the movies, is that it tends to fluctuate even during the course of the films sometimes, mostly in relation to trees, buildings, cars, etc.

I don't bother looking at scale either. It has no real bearing on the design & execution of a kaiju, at least in this case.

I consider scale part of the design. It's always bugged me that the size fluctuates in the films. It's just a minor issue for me though.

Making the monsters 100 meters in FINAL WARS was a poor, and equally pointless decision, IMOHO.

Why? I thought the decision to make the monsters larger was so they wouldn't have to build larger, more detailed (aka more expensive) sets. I mean, how else would they have enough money for all tha Matrix shit?

Well yea, that probably was the reason, meaning us (the fans) got to see less shit getting blown up. That's not exactly a good thing considering the sheer scale of this film.

Godzilla being 100 meters really only worked in the 90's because it made sense for him to get bigger. For one he was made with modern nukes and absorbed an entire Nuclear Submarine. Then after Mechagodzilla he got a little bit bigger progressivly as he had absorbed all of Fire Rodan's energy. In Final Wars even if it was used to save money it's moot IMO because they used the saved money for the wrong things...I'm sorry but if I want to see Matrix and Starwars elements in a movie I'll go watch the Matrix or Starwars the money should've been put towards more monster sequences not ripping off other movies.

As far as favorite suits go GMK hands down, it was a very welcomed break from the hunched over crocodile face and absurdly huge pink spikes the previous 2 had I'm sorry but FW Goji just makes me think of an anorexic Godzilla compared to just about any Godzilla suit ever there is such a thing as making it too streamlined. Plus he roared like a bitch.
He musta thought it was a gun!
I liked Giant Condor and Gabara before it was cool to just sayin.

^ Excuse me?

Of course the millenium Godzilla films utilized rubber suits. Jesus, you can look up making-of clips that show the damn things.

My favorite Shinsei suit has to be the MireGoji/GiraGoji (the one that represented Godzilla in Godzilla 2000 and Godzilla vs. Megaguirus). I always felt Godzilla needed a more reptilian look, while maintaining traits from the ShodaiGoji (the 1954 Godzilla). Take into account the 4 toes and the small ears, adding the bulk and the reptilian look from the KingGoji, Godzilla here is at his most imposing in my opinion. However, there is one thing I do need to address here...

GiganKing2; referring to your previous comment, you said in the Shinsei series, Godzilla was animated. Some of his swimming scenes were animated, but the majority of the scenes were suit-mation. I honestly hope you're not confusing the Shinsei Godzilla costumes with the American Zilla. Also, you forgot to include the Heisei Godzillas, as they also were primarily suit-mation.

^ Well, he did say in HIS opinion. I don't agree, personally, but he's free to think as he chooses.

My vote still goes to Sokogecki-Goji.

Sokogecki-Goji most imposing? Most definitely. 8-)

I'd put Goji-'84 is up there too.

The 84Goji had that sinister quality to him (the brows and the fangs). I wonder if merchandise regarding this incarnation is in high demand? Heretell has it the suit used for the film was stolen.

Agreed, I've always loved this suit, overexaggerated spines and all. 8-) My only gripe is the mouth is way too long, and the teeth would have looked better straightened with double-rows IMO. Still, quite the design, very expressive; powerful while still retaining mobility.

The Godzilla in your avatar is basically an improved version of the Mire-Goji, as far as I'm concerned.
