uhhh, yeah this looks bad. although if you actually can drive and do own a car and have a job, if you explain that you only go with your mom to save on gas money it shouldn't be that big of a problem. but if you don't have a license, a car, or a job it could be a deal breaker for some (or maybe even most) girls.

I'm not saying that girls only date guys based on their money/cars/jobs but having at least a part-time job (while going to college) and having your own mode of transportation just makes you look like you're an able person. if that makes sense. girls just don't want to date guys who rely on their moms for spending money or rides everywhere, lol.

Oh no, nothing like that. I can drive and I have a job. Hell, I know a bus route which goes from near my house to my campus (although the closest stop to my house is 5 miles away). My problem is that I don't have a car, and both of my parents cars are unavailable when I need them. And since the aforementioned stop is 5 miles away, I'll be damned if I'm going to hike my way there with all my huge-ass textbooks. So yeah, in other words, I don't really have much of a choice. And even if I do have a car, cheap-ass parents want me to go with them anyways to save gas money (and there's a lane which bypasses traffic, but only accomodates cars with 2 or more occupants). So yeah...

Well, he still lives with his parents, so he still has to follow their rules. Hence, why I want to get out of my house ASAP.

I guess I was lucky that my mom pretty much forced me to get my driver's license and car as soon as I was ready and able. She seemed to want that more than I did. But to stay on-topic: I second everything everybody else said: having your mother drive you to college doesn't look that great.

I have a car, my dad just won't give it to me. I'd like to get far away from where I live. Well after this college crap is over, I mean. Oh, and the beard thing:

"You're like 23, right?"

"No, 18."

"Oh."

That's not too bad.

Alright Spirit, you're going to have to think of something witty to say if anyone calls you out on it. For instance, "Yeah, my mom lost a bet with me so now she is my personal chauffuer for a while."

And Spin, I will try to think of something for you by tonight. I haven't personally dealt with something like this so hopefully I can think of something.

Spin, were you her first, and vice versa?
I say this because if so, this will be a very turbulent time - especially if you really feel she is the one. Theres no man who can say they'll be alright if they "take a break" from a girl only to come back later and have a feeling or flat out know that she handled her business. We will feel like shit.

Yeah, G1 I know. I know. And if by business you mean sex...we both hold sex as very sacred and both said if we happen to see other people sex is something that won't happen.

If thats the case, then keep your head up. If thats something you both agreed on, then try not to worry too much.
I know it sucks, but for the last couple of years when you would post random things like watching Kenshin together and the like, you really got something special. Things should just work themselves out for the better.

I certainly hope so. We made the agreement because we're both pretty positive we'll get back together eventually. Thanks for the positive out look though, it makes me feel better. :]

We are primarily giving ourselves room to breathe, which probably sounds a little weird considering I'm asking for advice to get her back. :P But last couple of weeks things had become sour, but I think a lot of it was because we're both so very stressed. We both just started on our professional courses in our college years (I'm an Art Education major and she's dentistry) and it's a shit ton of work, I literally have 4 papers due next week, so the stress kind of built upon itself. Sleep is the roughest on me at the moment, because I'll sit awake in my bed just thinking about her and my mind can't rest. In the morning when I awake I have that "Aww shit" moment of coming back to reality.

If one thing is a good sign, we're still talking a lot.

Hate to go against the Lady's Man, but please, do not say this. it just sounds so terrible, Im sorry Stuckey. Just claim your car is in the shop when people ask, by the time they ask again, you can again claim it is in the shop. Unless they ask repeatedly, but that has never happened to me.

Bit of an update, we never went bowling, but we have been out again. Mixed signals, ugh.

What about if you have a good excuse and that you can't get a Driving License due to medical reasons?(In my case is because I haven't been seizure free for 1 year).
Apparently SWTOR said that I can invite 25 people for a 7 day trial of the game. PM me if interested.

I agree with GinoKing actually, you gotta think of something better than that. I just talk about my prick dad and get sympathy. Well, hopefully.

Just be real with the ladiez. If they really like you they'll understand your situation. There's no way of getting around cheap parents and it's NOT YOUR FAULT. Hell, I know chicks in the past that if they like a guy enough they have no problem driving.

No car isn't a big deal.

There's way worse issues out there to be ashamed of. Like being Asian.

I agree whole heartedly. Hell, I live with my mom and if you explain the situation (financial reasons and to help cope with Dad being gone), few people are going to hold it against you.

And it helps to have "I-don't-care-what-you-think" attitude. This is how it is. If you don't like it, that's your problem.

Sometimes it's best to deflate the ego once in awhile.
I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.
