Oh, I knew all the bad stuff about it, but I pre-ordered the second run of the fig for around $28 and got this cool box for him and...well, what can I say, I'm weak.

Without knowing anything about the character, I'm very tempted by Belial. Thoughts on that figure...?

Aaaaah Belial. The second Ultra Act I ever bought, and still one of my favorites. Gotta agree with m'man Pete. A worthy purchase. It kills the vinyl figure.

Is there a point to getting Belial if you can get Kaiser Belial?

Supposedly normal Belial is better. Kaiser has a new cape and a slightly retooled head.

You're all enablers. :)

Side note - I'm watching the original Showa Ultraman now. Where should I go from there? More importantly, what's available? I'd love to watch the movie Belial is from, but a.) I have no idea how to find it in English or with subtitles (bootleg fansubs?), and b.) I suspect I'd get lost in all the continuity stuff.

^I think it's a good idea for someone just getting into Ultraman to do a little "ping-ponging" between older and newer incarnations. There's a lot of reasons for that, but mostly it gives you a good idea of the overall Ultra-verse.

Having said that, I'd say watch Ultra Galaxy Legend ASAP. It'll definitely have you saying, "Who's so-and-so, what's his deal?" but in the best way possible; you'll genuinely want to know more. It's like an Ultraman gateway drug is what I'm sayin'.

Around $35-$45 is what they're going for on eBay lately.

Man, Ultra-Act is just getting better and better! Zoffy? Red King!? and that new 1st Ultraman!? It sure as hell kicks the shit outta the first Hayata ultra-act we got! Speaking of Ultra-Act I was so close to getting Dyna and Gaia at Sakura Con but didn't get em mainly cause I love Classic Ultraman, Tiga's and Belial cause face it who doesn't love Belial? Also a pic of my ultra-acts so far:

Jeez Zoffy went out of pre-order on AmiAmi and now I'm pissed, also getting Golza for over a hundred? F*** THAT. But still, I'm so adding Red King Zoffy and the new Ultraman Hayata to my collection.

I've also been thinking about getting Belial, as well as Zero - I finally just watched Mega Monsters Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legend The Movie recently.

Prices for them aren't that bad. As long as their within the $30.00 and $40.00 range then they're affordable in my book!

So apparently Gridman is coming in September, and Max is coming in August.

Is Red King coming out in August as well?
If so, I'll have to prepare to set aside some money (MonsterArts KG and Ultra-Act Red King will definitely drain my wallet!)

Yeah he's pretty hard to find now. All the main places I could find are sold out to I had to pay a pretty decent price for mine recently.

Not getting any hits for it on EBay and, well, Amazon is looking pretty rough...

Ouch. Glad I got mine when I did, I guess...unless they update it too.

Yep. August. He'll be around 51 dollars before shipping. Of course he'll be much cheaper at amiami.com. Around 38-39 bucks.
