Godzilla, Rodan, and Anguirus Vs. The Killer Swarm

Postby GodzillaXGomoraFight » Mon Apr 09, 2012 5:11 pm

This match is between three of the Showa's strongest heroes against three of Godzilla's most notable insect/arachnid enemies. The Swarm consists of Megalon, Megaguirus, and Kumonga. With Kumonga on the other team, Godzilla and his allies will not be easily winning this match, and the spider's teammates Megaguirus and Megalon make the team even deadlier. The rules are as follows: no mercy, no interference, no escape, and Megaguirus DOES NOT have his blast of energy. The arena is Sollgel Island. May the best team win!

In this match, I would have to side with Godzilla, but it's not as if his team would emerged unscathed. Anguirus and Megalon are the weakest links in either team, but Megalon has the weakest attention spam of any of the combatants. When he is focused however, Megalon could be an important asset to The Swarm (he is the only one with a beam to spam). Godzilla's team would have to rely much on their endurance to get through this fight in order to cope with the combined assaults of Megaguirus and Kumonga. Rodan's durability (and predator-prey relationship with Megaguirus) could tip the fight in air towards his favor. If Megaguirus were to be pinned to the ground, she would meet a terrible fate in the jaws of Anguirus. Kumonga will emerge as The Swarm's leader, and he is perhaps one of the most dangerous kaiju in the battlefield. If Godzilla's team manages to beat the other two insects and work together, they could probably defeat Kumonga.

Godzilla's Team: 5.5/10
The Swarm: 4.5/10

Team Godzilla has this. Kumunga would probably go down first, followed by Megaguirus and Megalon.

I think... The Killer Swarm takes this, depends.

Kumongo would immediately begin shooting web at the trio. Anguirus may dig underground to sneak attack it. That is where Megalon comes in, burrowing underground to meet it head on. Rodan may fly out of the way, and pit itself against Megalguirus. Megaguirus is not big on defense, but she's got insane speed.

The only way to hit her is to predict where she'll be, or catch her attacks head on. I can see her spin circles around Rodan and impale him from behind with her stinger, sapping him of his energy. And if she grabs his wings with her claws, he'll be unable to do anything because he doesn't have an offense if someone grabs him from behind.

Godzilla... if he tries to head off and tackle Kumongo, the giant spider would simply jump out of the way and continue to shoot webbing.

Anguirus would be too busy fighting Megalon(they may be at a stale-mate underground), Rodan would be rapidly weakening from Megaguirus. And Godzilla would start to find it a lot harder to move around with all that thick coating of web on it. Eventually Godzilla's immoble, Rodan's too exhausted to move, so it'd only be Anguirus against all three.

If he somehow defeats Megalon, then he may put up a good fight, staying underground, attacking Kumongo from below, or drag the spider underground to kill it. Megaguirus wouldn't be able to do much even if she caught him, because she'd only meet with a back full of sharp spikes.

Then, after Anguirus defeats Megalon, he would do fine against Megaguirus. But only if he manages to catch her while she's off-guard.

That's if they fight one-on-one against each other. The only way I can Godzilla and the others win is if they work as a team. It'd be difficult, but not impossible.

Except Kumunga's pretty immobile, Megalon's a retard and Megaguirus is just there. What makes you think Godzilla's just gonna forget about his Atomic Ray and not use it to cut down the webbing and eventually set Kumunga on fire? Megalon's pretty useless here without Gigan and again, Megaguirus is just there. She's pretty useless. Anguirus almost never goes underground, same with Megalon so that argument is completely moot. Megaguirus will eventually go for Godzilla if not right away and she'll get A.) Swatted or B.) Light Up. Anguirus could probably take Kumunga, same with Rodan. And Rodan could probably take Megalon. And since this is the strongest Showa Godzilla there is, the Killer Swarm is totally screwed.

It may help. But Godzilla can only shoot his atomic ray for so long, before he has to stop to catch his breathe. Kumongo can continuously shoot his webbing to meet Godzilla's atomic ray in midair, and still go on long after Godzilla stops.

Megalon... I don't think he's that weak. During the battle with Godzilla and Jet Jaguar, Megalon shot continuous napalm bombs and lighting beams to prevent the duo from advancing on him, literally creating a ring of fire to trap them inside, while Gigan just stood by cheering.

This shows that Megalon is smart enough to know how to overwhelm an opponent, and he's very fast underground.

Abiet Anguirus rarely uses the tunneling ability, he still has it, and can use it. I guess it really matters if he has the time to do it.

Kumunga's immobile? But if Anguirus pops out from beneath Kumonga and bites into one of his legs, dragging him underground, I don't think Kumonga will be able to do much. He could try and fight it off, but if Anguirus bites down on the back legs, there's not much the spider can do.

You have to remember Megaguirus is very fast, and intelligent enough to know when to keep away from an opponent. Sizing up Godzilla in their first fight she knew enough to use her speed to attack then move away. And her reflexes are quick enough to dodge Godzilla's atomic breathe at point blank range.

The only way to defeat her is to predict where she'll be, or counter her attacks at the right moment like Godzilla did.

Godzilla's atomic breathe can defeat Megaguirus in one blow, but I can't see her flying in front of Godzilla waiting for him to charge up and shoot her.

But I think Megaguirus would go for Rodan first. Her baby species are prey to Rodan's species, so a Rivalry might erupt between them, the minute they set eyes on one another.

I recall Godzlla got thrashed by Kumonga. a weaker Godzilla, but its silly to discount the spider as a non-factor. Kumonga takes beams pretty well too. Megalon can take Anguirus, aqnd didn''t seem too affected by anything Godzilla threw at him. And I'm confident Megs can skewer Rodan, and is unaffected by melee, which this Godzilla seems fond of. Godzilla may be the strongest fighter of the 6, but he will be outnumbered eventually.

I think I'm going with team Goji on this one.

Rodan will be able to atleast hold off Megagurius, Angurius is going to finally pick up his first victory over Megalon and Godzilla can send Koumonga packing in his 75 persona.
