Did I mention he's half demon half angel now?

Yes, I still don't see what the big deal is.

I actually thought that article brought up a lot of valid points.

New trailer!

I'm still not sure if I really don't want this or if I want to give it a chance. It still looks dull and I still hate how Dante looks.

Well, at least he looks less emo and broody there than in the first trailer, thank god.

(What is it? National New Trailer Day or something?)

It's Capcom's national Captivate event. It's where Capcom displays all the new game media for upcoming products.

After seeing these trailers, I'm only more excited. I'm glad to see people are now starting to give this game a chance.

I am now starting to like young Dante just wished they didn't show him smoking in that first trailer.

Actually smoking feels like a natural thing, for a young man in that sort of environment.

I admit that Dante does look bit better, the game does seem unnecessary since the last game came out four years ago. Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4 are still recent games. It looks like I will stick with the HD collection for now.

He's not exactly a 'young' Dante, he's a totally different personification of the character. This game takes place in it's own universe. Besides, what if he ends up quitting his smoking habit by the end of the game?

Vergil trailer! Really interested with how Vergil has been handled with this reboot. It could make the story between him and Dante pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to this reboot from the more I see it.

That... egh... I know it's a reboot and all but... I don't like friend-of-humanity Vergil. There's something about him that just creeps me the skreeonk out.

I doubt he'll actually be a good guy.

I'll be one to say I was upset at the game at first but now I'm going to pre-order as soon as possible, this game looks great and I love the new Vergil maybe not as much as DMC 3 Vergil but I'll give the new one a chance.

And was his hair white, I'll say his powers are still a little beyond Dante's.

I still think that this game will bomb. Devil May Cry 4 only came out a few years ago and Capcom had no reason to reboot the series. This new Vergil looks awful.

Dante had become GT Goku by the time DMC4 came out, it was either reboot the series, make another prequel or create a stupid powerful foe for the next game or keep going with Nero.

DmC is still in a altered universe as well though so classic DMC will still return one day.

Think of it as DMC equivalent of Ultimate Marvel. It doesn't necessarily mean the old series is dead, but this new game provides an entry point for new audiences to get into the DMC franchise.

If the game does end up failing then I wonder what will happen to the series? Will Capcom return back to the original series or will just wait another five years to remake the first game that came out in 2001?

DMC 1 just got remade for the HD collection. If DmC doesn't do good capcom might try a DmC sequel with a different company or they'll bring Vergil back in a DMC5.

Game could suck but it would sell due to the OG Vergil being back.
