Silent Night (Silent Night, Deadly Night Remake) (2012)

It looks like the remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night is finally happening and Malcolm McDowell in one of the lead roles. They also plan to start filming next month and hope that the movie will be release later this year.

The original film was a pretty good film, but I'm not going to get angry if it gets remade since the original movie was not high art or anything. I don't like remakes if they are needed or they are not old enough (Like the upcoming American Psycho remake). I think with this movie coming out, we can finally get a good R1 release of the first two movies.

And an overwhelming "I don't care" was heard across the globe.

I knew someone would post that  ! The first movie was popular because it had a killer dress up as Santa Claus. I'm pretty sure this movie will be better then the direct to video sequels after the second movie.

Wasn't that line in the sequel?

Anyways, you really gotta tell that Hollywood is out of ideas when they start remaking crap.

I rather have them remake crap then high art films or cult classics. Some of the movies that where shown on MST3K could be fun to be remade with a big budget.

Oh...it probably was. I just know that it's one of the most ridiculous death scenes in a movie.

That scene is what I think of when someone mentions either film.
