Robby the Robot Vs. GMK Godzilla

This is a fight between the famous robot from Forbidden planet and one of the coldest personalities to ever thrive in a Godzilla. If you don't know Robby by name, then you will when you see his picture in the stats. In Forbidden Planet, Morbius describes his creation as being extremely strong, but harmless to the characters. What if Robby could go beyond the restrictions of his programming in a duel with a vicious monster? He will fight as hard as he can to defeat the monstrous Godzilla. Here are the rules: Robby can use his weapons and will not short-out by using them, no interference, no escape, and no mercy. The opponents are scaled and the arena is Altair 4. Here are the stats:

In this match, I would have to side slightly with Robby. I think that Robby would be able to take Godzilla's attacks head on, and he would eventually emerge victorious. He can go beyond his programming, so he will have no problem attacking Godzilla.

If anyone can find a better link for stats for Robby, it would be appreciated.

Pretty much, plus the robot is slow as hell and his maneuverability seems to be zero so Godzilla would most likely never miss an Atomic Ray.

Look, no matter WHAT Robby has for 'atomic rays', 'robo-strength', and/or 'self-destructos', Godzilla would CRUSH him to bits in less than ten seconds.......I'd put $1,000,000 on this one...

Kiryu, just Youtube 'Robby Robot'. He was built for the film 'Forbidden Planet' and was essentially a 'perfect robot'; assistant, scientist, laborer, warrior, protector. The suit was used and RE-used many times over, in Twilight Zone episodes (my favorite of all time) and at paid appearances for kids and sci-fi fans. I think he is even cemented in Hollywood...
For sure, one of the most identifiable and iconic robots in modern culture.

Robby has a massive amount of strength, and he could definitely pick Godzilla up with ease. His speed may be one of his weaknesses, but his strength and abilities make up for it. Robby can make almost anything in his chemical lab, and he could apply it to this match by making himself the tools he needs to win the fight.

I don't think he could make any tools fast enough before Godzilla blows his ass up. And even if he could make something, what excatly is he gonna use that could even slow down a titan as powerful as GMK Godzilla?

Great points. Robby IS nearly MATCHLESS in his strength and computational abilities, but like you mentioned, his lack of speed and his BULKiness would do him in with a kaiju, especially Godzilla.
One swift tail crack, laser-blast, or STOMP, and Robby would be shit out of luck. I'd imagine that even HIS durability would be tested when smashed THROUGH a mountainside at 2,000 mph backed by roughly 1,000,000 lbs of force, even IF he could synthesize/manufacture a chemical/atomic/plasma/whatever-weapon/tool in time.

Robby is strong, but he's not going to win. Godzilla is going to take Robby's ray with little problems, and he's too slow for Godzilla. Godzilla's beam and tail will get Robby before the robot has a chance to get close enough to use his immense strength.

If there were two fights, then Robby might win the second round. During the first round, he could analyze Godzilla, find a weakness, and then use some synthesized material or weapon to defeat Godzilla. Since there's no mercy, however, Robby is going to be a pile of metal.

Maybe, just maybe, I dunno... If Robby had a LARGE supply of 10' x 10' sheets of 5" thick steel/platinum sheeting at his disposal, and if he had added leg upgrades, MAYBE he'd have a better shot...maybe..
(Obviously, the sheets of steel could be stacked like lumber for his usage. He is more than equipped to fashion nearly any tool/device/weapon, or, hell, he could just choose to bombard Godzilla with MOLTEN steel...)

A better match-up might be Gigan vs. Robby. Sadly, though, when matched against the 'upgraded/chainsaw' Final War Gigan, Robby would be checking-out in less than 25 seconds....Hey, I said that he'd make it 9-10 seconds with Godzilla, so not too shabby, Gigan!

He could EASILY snap Godzilla's neck.

That's the thing, though. GMK Godzilla isn't a beam spammer. He likes to waltz up to his opponents and beat on them physically. That will be his undoing against a Robby.

Can't Robby use his chemical lab to make even stronger beams than is own or upgrades for his parts? As I've said before, Robby's drawback is speed, and Godzilla would need to take him out quick if possible. i don't agree with Godzilla being able to smash Robby so easy: he could be compared to a super heavy tank. Godzilla may have a chance, but I think Robby would most likely win.
