Ahhh, so that's the scan that Showa Gyaos was talking about. Was that posted somewhere else earlier? I must have missed that.

The grey Bagan design (with some minor alternations) was made into a suit for the proposed "Mothra vs. Bagan" film for 1990. It's too bad it was never used.

Even with exchange rates/bulk store shipping that is a steep price. The book's actual price translated to a little over $50 USD when released.

Yeah unfortunately that seems to be the case. I'd like to pick up the book for the new concept art alone, but not for that price! That kind of cheese will add another Marmit/Gigabrain to the collection!

That's not Bagan, It's "Barubaroi". This is from a completely different book to begin with.

No. The book has sections that feature concept art for some scrapped monsters. Bagan had his own section, and there were plenty of designs that came before the one we all know now.

Sorry about the rather shitty quality...I don't have a scanner, so I had to take a digital camera snap shot. Also, I have no idea why, but these pics are facing sideways and not horizontally like they should (they're horizontal in my photobucket....very odd). Anyways, I'll try to keep 'em coming!

What's interesting to note that the last picture you see, the hunchback Bagan as we call him was suppose to have three forms... Maybe from the Return of Godzilla ver. 1?

Also, it would seem that the Gigamoth film may have had an extra random monster in one of the drafts... Fights Godzilla in Las Vegas. That's all I know. No known name and probably minor role if it is the Gigamoth film.
