Biollante IS a Kawakita monster.

And comparing the vinyl Fire Rodan to the MArts one is pretty silly when you realize that the vinyl is almost 20 years old. It's like attacking the old Bullmark Rodan because the Bandai 1956 figure made 2 decades later is better.

It isn't silly when you're considering which one to purchase. Then it comes down to which one is more aesthetically pleasing. Considering the fact that the Bandai vinyl Fire Rodan lost that contest to nothing in my teenage years his decision does not surprise me.

It's a Kawakita film, yes. But the initial concept isn't his. Kawakita managed the special effects for GvsBio, like the following five films. I hope he is a part of the series, though.

You are correct! There shouldnt be any rights issues, however, since Bandai has had their expansive Godzilla license since the eighties.

I shudder to think what the damned thing would cost. 180-200 dollars is my guess. Think of the plastic... Unless it was hollow in the body. But I can't see them doing that.

Thats the FigureArts line, not the S.H. Monsterarts line. Same company, different products. The Kawakita statement came directly from Bandai, not us.

Let me know how your foot tastes, dude.

Not to be contrary but that's an SHM. Two Angels from Neon Genesis Evangelion are the next releases after Ghidorah.

Probably.

As is this.

And I'm not an idiot, I KNOW that he is working directly with Bandai. I posted a small excerpt of an interview with him in this thread.

Well then surely you realize that no one is purposefully being a pessimist, we're just trying to relay facts.

And they're under the SHM title, yes, but its not the same line as their Godzilla figures. Figurarts as a company is doing different lines of figures from different genres/properties. We're discussing their Godzilla SHM line specifically.

And no worries, RedZillaKing,I'll just word my posts more clearly from now on. Not worth starting something over.

To my knowledge, FiguArts isn't a company; its a line of figures ranging from DBZ, Kamen Rider, Tiger & Bunny, and more.

The S.H. MonsterArts line includes the angels and Godzilla, just the same as the Toho Kaiju are a part of the Sci-Fi Revoltech line.

Its a subsidiary company title. Bandai is the prime company. Figurarts can still be referred to as a "company", its a business term - not a reference to a physical entity specifically. Next time, I'll type out all the full exact details if that is necessary upon each posting from now on...

No offense, but if you micro manage posts just to attempt to point out flaws, you're always going to find them. This isn't a competition.

Wasn't the main argument NOT whether or not there'll be other kaiju but whether or not they'll release figures from the other Goji eras?

Regardless I can see what incensed Uncanny in the first place. Gloating isn't cool brah.

Except FiguArts is the name of a line of figures. The company that releases them is Tamashii Nations.

The fact still stands; there's more than Godzilla monsters in the S.H. MonsterArts line. It isn't Kawakita centric. If it was Godzilla exclusive, then what line of figures do the angels belong in? The MonsterArts line. Just like one of the robots (I'm assuming its a robot, I've never seen the anime, and it looks robotic) shown next to the red angel is in the Robot Damashii line. This one. Image

The statement that the SHM line is influenced solely by Kawakita's creations is wrong. That cannot be denied. There is proof of two figures that were shown recently. That cannot be argued, since it is, in fact, wrong.

Now, saying the Godzilla PORTION of the line is influenced solely by Kawakita may be correct, but I have not seen a single post that said that, but rather that the whole line is influenced. As I said, unless the EVA series was made by him (and I did my homework, I haven't seen anything stating that), the SHM line is not Kawakita centric.

I personally think it's pretty foolish to assume that people are talking about anything other than Toho giant monsters when we discuss potential candidates for the MA line and whether or not we'll eventually get Showa/Millennium monsters. I don't see why that even needs to be spelled out.

Sure Kawakita made the original commercials for the line, but I think his influence beyond that was little to none. The fact that they're releasing monsters from the Heisei era doesn't mean Kawakita is pulling strings, it's more coincidental since he did do the special effects for ALL of the films minus The Return of Godzilla.

After all, isn't it Yuji Sakai who is the main sculptor for the figures in this line? I would reckon that he would have more influence over what kaiju appear in this line than Kawakita (that's saying if he had any influence whatsoever). I do believe that a Biollante figure will be made sooner or later. If there were such high property rights with the character, then we wouldn't have any releases of the character whatsoever by Bandai, nor X-Plus.

This is Toho Kingdom. We talk about Toho Monsters here. Bandai is releasing the Godzilla monsters through their licensing with the series. Its a whole different deal, and the only thing we've been discussing here on Toho Kingdom - the Toho monsters in the line.

Bingo. Thank you.

And Kawakita's influence isnt coincidental, its contractual with Bandai and this line.

No one is making this stuff up.

It doesn't.

Here's something that, clearly, needs to be spelled out;

They have intentions of expanding past what Kawakita has made. Considering that RZK (I believe, was it someone else initially?) and some else said that Gamera was on a questionnaire, and NOW we have the EVA figures to look forward to, the entire line can go anywhere whether it be Toho creations or not.

ZillaMaster91, Bandai hasn't released a Biollante in.. lolidk. X-Plus, which is a brand of figures aimed solely at collectors, similar to the Tamashii figures, released one a little while ago... Considering X-Plus made one, I'd say if this line is good enough, a Biollante looks likely. Judging by SpaceGodzilla's joints, Tamashii does listen to their customers.
