I like what BigBaragon said.

And you have?

No, hence why I say there is a chance. The absense of evidence is not the evidence of absense.

That is your average Toho Kingdom poster.

There's something awfully ironic about this coming from you, out of all people.

BigBaragon wrote:^ I disagree, Legion. You really just never KNOW what might turn up.....you shouldnt dismiss at least the possibility of unseen/dummy reel footage. I'm sure there's a ton of short snippets of footage that's probably out there somewhere or stuff like test footage or alternate takes or angles. The trailers give us glimpses of a ton of stuff that didn't make it into the finished films, as did the 1980's Unused Special Effects VHS tape.

HOWEVER, I personally don't believe there are entire effects SEQUENCES (that's the word Evan used) that were deleted from the older movies that have never turned up or have never been researched or spoken about. I consider a "deleted sequence" something along the lines of the maser tank battle that was totally removed from Godzilla vs Space Godzilla, the famous soup eating scene from Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the Jitterbug dance number from the Wizard of Oz or of course the legendary spider pit sequence from the original 1933 King Kong.

I rather enjoy holding out hope. Like I said, 'stuff' turns up ALL the time. Old test shots/B reels are just scarce, like cryptids, but they are out there.

I, personally, don't feel it's worth wasting much time hoping for an entire "lost" effects sequence from an old Toho film to suddenly show up out of the blue. But that's just me.

As far as 'wasting time' in concerned, are you really THAT busy in a day/night to not be able to spare several MOMENTS of thought (hope) on a subject? Come on now.....passion is what life is about.
I not only respect your right to feel that way, but you are probably CORRECT in your thinking. However, you really just never k-n-o-w.... ;)

I asked you this in another thread: Please, what is that monster's name? the one in your avatar?

That would be Dodongo from the original Ultraman.

I'm passionate about a lot of things, and I often think about random Godzilla stuff. However, I don't think I've ever thought, "Wouldn't it be great if there was some unknown random piece of lost Showa Godzilla footage that suddenly showed up one day!?" because that's not how my mind works.

I asked you this in another thread: Please, what is that monster's name? the one in your avatar?

Dodongo the Magnificent, Destroyer of Galaxies.

Thank you and thank you. :g2k: I'll have to add Dodongo to my BUY list...

I understand what you are saying, Legion. Its just a simple matter of opinion, like most things in life.

Trailers featuring alternate/unused shots aren't exclusive to Godzilla, or special effects films for that matter.

there are more unused scenes in the trailer, the ones that stuck out the most was with King Caesar

That trailer was posted in the original post. It's literally what the entire topic is about.

Yeah, it's a dead link. What of it? It doesn't change the fact that the topic is still about footage from said trailer.

Are we assuming people are too retarded to look up the trailer on their own?

A lot of the Silent Hill soundtracks have music that were not used in game or if they were only like a few seconds when said music is 2 or 3 minutes long.
