Acc. to the tracking #, my SpaceG arrived at JFK in NYC this past Sun. & is being treated as 'registered mail'. Why didn't they send it to DFW instead of JFK, & now how much longer is it gonna take?

That awesome 6 inch figure is going to be that cheap? I'll forget about buying the earlier Bandai Fire Rodan and get this.

But how much did shipping set ya back?(

While Fedex would usually cost $96.00 to Guam, I no longer use them as my shipping provider.

I recently turned to EMS and HLJ charges 20% less than normal EMS shipping. Since FR's packaging, I assume, would be smaller than normal MonsterArts boxes, I would say that shipping would be around $15.00.

$31? HLJ's site says $36. AmiAmi is $31, after yen conversion.

Mine hit NYC on Sunday as well, according to my tracking #, so I figure you and I will get them the same day. Hopefully. Anytime now...*twiddles thumbs*

I don't blame you. It's superior to the Bandai vinyl in almost every way.

^I doubt it. The original Heisei Rodan sculpt is pretty shoddy. Its in such an awkward stance, and the sculpting is pretty lackluster.

^Eh, I know, but...well, let's just let this one lie, haha!

So, logically, what are we thinking is going to be the next announced MA? I normally hate this question, but they're going to start getting hemmed in if they're only doing Heisei. I would imagine Destroyer followed by Heisei Mothra would be the most obvious, but then what? Battra? Cool, I say, but it would be nice if Mothra and Battra were packaged together. At least released at the same time. Then...? There's a big part of me that almost wants to say they'll never do Biollante, but like I said, they're going to get hemmed in at some point and either stop making G figs in this line or start moving to different eras or making some kaiju we didn't expect.

I'd say, so far, all indications are pointing to this line doing very well so it's only a matter of time before they either expand the line or close it up, and I really don't see them doing that anytime soon...

Yeah, totally not flame baiting. When the Godzilla Island 6 inch figs hit I was but a lad of 16 or so. I had just gotten a job, and found a web site which sold the whole series. I loved most of them, and bought most of the series. However, there were two figs that did absolutely nothing for me: Fire Rodan and King Seesar. It wasn't tough at all to top that Rody.

As for your question, Mothra is the only one out of the BIG FIVE not released, so... My prediction is Mothra Larva might be packed with Battra Larva, and the Imago forms will be packed separately with

Biollante has to be a shoe in for sure ... Other than that a Mothra would be pretty sweet.

I hope they keep making Godzilla figures, and not just from the Heisei era, even though I would like to see them do Mothra, Battra, Biollante, & adult Destoroyah. But for now we'll just have to wait and see what they come up with.

I think the 3rd release of Fire Rodan and King Seesar are vastly superior to any other Bandai Vinyl offering for that time. The previous releases are pointless as they are just smaller versions of the standard versions.

I'd love a Monsterarts King Seesar though. He'd fight off my diecast Mechagodzilla nicely. :huge:

Biollante is very unlikely to happen. All of the sculpts/kaiju in the S.H. Monsterarts line have been designs originated by Kawakita. He designed GvsKG (1991) through G vs Destoroyah (1995), but did do special effects for Biollante.

Bandai has been working directly with him through the entire process for the series. Biollante is, at this point, only an option if Bandai decides to step outside of Kawakita's designs when that well has run dry.

King Caesar would be cool, though I would like to see Tamashii do Showa Gigan, or Titanosaurus.

The third release?

@Uncanny: Didn't they specifically mention Godzilla vs Biollante as being one of the films the line covers?

Fire Rodan and King Seesar were each released three times in the 6" series:

Godzilla Island
Toho Kaiju
Movie Monster

I recommend you buy the Movie Monster versions (assuming you want any at all). KS got a nice metallic coating, and Rodan is very close to the Forever series, minus the wing veins.

That's a shame about Biollante not being a Kawakita design. That's probably my most wanted Monsterarts figure in the current Heisei lineup. Although the in-scale King Ghidorah is certainly going to kick massive arse.

Monsterarts Biollante, though somewhat unlikely, is still possible. A cookie for whoever finds the specific quote, but that particular hulking hunk of horticultural horrors was specifically mentioned.
