I was looking for a thread I made months back regarding how I felt about the opinion of Godzilla needing to be "dark and gritty" and also referencing something I posted concerning Godzilla as a character in a comic thread for post #21 in this thread on Rotten Tomatoes:

And now AlienHulk is brought up. This has truely brought out the worst in all of us.

On a semi-serious not, to quote that random American guy in Final Wars, "Is that a wise thing to do?" I'm not saying that a full on ban would have been preferable or anything, and I do realize the mods wouldn't have done this if they didn't feel it was neccessary (and it probably was). I just don't want to read a bible length rant posted in two weeks about how unfairly he's been treated. Of course, I probably wouldn't read it anyway because reading makes my head hurt.

What I would say should be practiced on this board is that if the problem is that Donkun is sparking arguments, most of us should probably try and stop arguing back. Donkun seems to try and spark something more often than not, but I'm fairly content in leaving it alone than drawing it out to the point where this action becomes neccessary. Case in point, I saw his "unfair" post last night, rather than point out he was digging his own grave, I rubbed my temples from the headache he was giving me, logged off, watched some TV, and went to sleep. First thing I see in the morning is that he spark pretty much the exact thing I thought he would have.

This is where I sighed.

That's just my two cents. I'm not the smartest person in the world, but this is how I see it. I don't disagree with what happened, but I do feel it might be sparking a chain reaction. I hope I'm proven wrong though, and Donkun uses this time to cool his temper instead of cooling his guns.

Now to get off this subject so Donkun doesn't get upset that we're talking about him behind his back, I'm going to whine about...about...I don't know. That Gawdziller guy, I guess. What an idiot.

Guys, thanks for the support and for giving SD a what-for, but let's just let it go. I don't want to see anybody else get into any trouble or anything over, frankly, a stupid argument about a comic book.

In all honesty, I don't even want to see SD get in any more trouble over this; he can hate me all he wants, but I would actually feel bad if he were to get banned from the forum because of his irrational hatred of me. As long as he can keep from bringing me up, I can do the same and have; that's all I need. Since I assume you haven't put me on your foe list SD and you can still read this; let's just pretend like the other doesn't exist. Maybe someday we can reconcile and have a good laugh; PM if you feel like getting over this, I won't report you for harassment for trying to talk it out. Maybe. One day.

In the meantime, again, thanks for any support I've gotten here, but let's all give it up. Nobody is to get into a flamewar with SD over OUR arguments, okay?

Yabaru basically hit it on the head.

A new Godzilla film will come, but the current project is definitely going to be a while in the making - therefore, it's not a realistic possibility because we aren't going to get steady new information for months, even if full production begins now - information would come, but nowhere near steadily for a while still.

It's all moving extremely sluggishly, and I'm not doubting Godzilla's number of films will reach thirty at least, I am doubting we'll have new material before the King hits sixty.

Which means the drought is still in effect, for now.
