What Godzilla movies do you actually like?

With every franchise there are installments that are almost universally liked and a few that are almost universally hated, but it seems like with Godzilla more films fall into the latter category that the former. There's always somebody saying a particular film gets "too much hate," but from what I've seen, nearly every film gets too much hate, so I ask, to what films are they being compared to? What Godzilla films are almost universally liked?

I think the only films that I've seen almost universal praise for are Gojira, Mothra vs. Godzilla, and GMK, whereas the rest range from mixed reviews (Godzilla's Revenge, Destroy All Monsters) to outright hate (Godzilla vs. Megalon, Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla, Final Wars).

I enjoy most of them. The only ones I actually hate are Final Wars and Revenge.

I really enjoy the entire Showa series to death with the exception of Godzilla Raids Again. My non-Showa favorites are Godzilla vs. Biollante and GMK, the rest of the Hesei and Millennium series I'm indifferent to. I'll watch them when I'm in the mood for them, but otherwise if I'm going to watch a Godzilla film, it's usually a Showa one.

The only Godzilla film I truly hate is Final Wars.

The only Godzilla movie I hate is Megaguirus. Everything else for me ranges between "eh, whatever" to "YES AWESOME."

The main Godzilla film I like is Final Wars.

I LOVE the Showa series, minus Raids Again. (Revenge is just too darn fun, seen it a thousand times growing up.) Eh, I'm not big on Godzilla vs. Hedorah either. I use to like the Heisei series a lot.....but not too much anymore. I'm not fond of Godzilla vs. Biollante, always thought that entry was a bit overrated. Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla is well, Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla. (Had some great concepts, but the film overall wasn't that great.) However, there are great films there, such as Godzilla vs. Destoroyah and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, two of my personal favorites.

2000 is now my second favorite Godzilla film, love it to death. I actually liked Godzilla vs. Megaguirus. It's not great, but I actually enjoyed it more than Godzilla vs. Biollante.

So yeah, I really don't dislike any of them except Raids Again, and of course the American film.

The only ones I generally dislike are SpaceGodzilla, Final Wars and Megalon. Many others, like Godzilla Vs. Mothra , Megaguirus, King Kong Vs. Godzilla, and Revenge; I simply don't enjoy that much.

The rest of the films, I can appreciate on some level. Yeah, my favorites like Mothra Vs. Godzilla, Monster Zero, Godzilla '54, Terror of MechaGodzilla, Godzilla '84, and Biollante stand wayyyy above the rest of the pack, but that isn't to say I don't like the majority of the series (I do).

Yeah, I like most Godzilla films very much; but some stand far above the others. My top 5 Godzilla films are:

Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack
Son of Godzilla
Gojira
Mothra vs. Godzilla
I LOVE these movies. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla and Godzilla vs. Biollante are Runner-ups.

The only Godzilla films that I don't enjoy are Godzilla: Final Wars, Godzilla vs. Mothra, Godzilla X Megaguirus, Godzilla Raids Again and All Monsters Attack. Other than those, I enjoy every Godzilla film to a certain extent.

The ones I enjoy the most are Mothra vs. Godzilla, Son Of Godzilla, Godzilla, Ebirah, Horror Of The Deep, GMK and Terror Of MechaGodzilla.

I like most of them to one extent or another. My level of dislike of any Godzilla film comes not from "stupidity" or "silliness" of the plot, but more from boredom. Godzilla X Megaguirus to me is just dull as dishwater BORING!

I definitely am a Showa fan (with the exception of Godzilla's Revenge), I don't really care about the two later series. Not saying that they're bad films, but I prefer the older ones.

Only Godzilla films that I hate with a passion are:

Godzilla vs Mothra (1992)
Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla
Godzilla Final Wars

I like many Godzilla films but a few of them (Return of Godzilla, Godzilla Raids Again & Godzilla vs Destroyah) are just dull

I'm a Showa fan, first and foremost, but I can get at least some enjoyment out of any of the movies, GINO included. I haven't actually seen FW or GxMG yet, though, so those might be exceptions. My top picks would be:

King Kong vs. Godzilla. My first kaiju movie, and just all-around fun and well-executed.

Mothra vs. Godzilla. Should need no explanation.

Invasion of the Astro Monster. Sort of my quintessential kaiju movie, I guess. It has everything. Three of the best monsters, aliens, weird sci-fi weapons, etc. And it's actually put together pretty well.

Terror of Mechagodzilla. Same reasons as above, pretty much.

'Cause I don't outright hate FW either, and I hold it higher than a few of Showa movies, which are like sacred Biblical artifacts to a lot of people here.
