Can Godzilla survive on the sun?

For discussions covering more than one Toho film or show that span across more than one “era.”

There really isn't anything else to go off of. We really have to go by what is shown in the films. Otherwise, we'd just be making this stuff up.

Godzilla survived and thrived on the surface of Planet X, which was in the shadows of Jupiter. Jupiter, as I understand from a two minute Google search, can get down to -166 degrees Fahrenheit and since Jupiter blocks the sun's rays from contacting Planet X, one has to assume it is even colder than that on Planet X.

If he can do that well in the extreme cold, I'd imagine he'd be fine in the extreme heat.

He may have survived in space, he may have survived a volcano while it erupted, but a sun is much different then both of those.

logic when discussing godzilla? MADNESS :P

but yeah, the answer is no. people in real life have survived getting struck by lightning without being an uber radioactive reptile with a super fast regeneration, which makes the fact that godzilla has shrugged off lightning a little less unbelieveable.

^ True. I suppose the difference lies in how the energy is channeled, or something like that. With lightning, the energy can go straight into the ground. With the sun, though, there would be nowhere else for the energy to go.

Oh, and I just realized, the sun's gravity is extremely strong. Godzilla would probably get sucked into the sun's core.

It's not "surviving" if it misses you.

Oh my God. would you STOP IT with this. I have explained this before.

1. It is impossible for it to have "missed" him because the characters went through extraordinary precautions to ensure it would not miss him. It was right on top of him, and the radius of destruction was so immense around him, the he certainly didn't quickly dash past its event horizon, while being completely stationary shooting at it with his ray.

2. Ok, say it DID miss him(despite, in that case, it landing next to him or something, which wouldn't matter because you'd be NEXT TO A BLACK HOLE, which is JUST as bad.), where did Godzilla go? He was gone. No, he was not hiding under the rubble, because someone would have SEEN him get out and leave towards the ocean. No, he did not burrow his way out, because they would have detected the seismic activity, as they did months later in the ending to show he's still alive. Godzilla was gone. He got hit by the Black Hole and disappeared. How he got out is anyone's guess His ray destabilized it, making him able to break onto our plane in a different time? A piece of his flesh was left over big enough for him to regenerate from? Idk, point is, it HIT him.

Not even the blistering heat of the sun could penetrate Godzilla's plot shield.
