Where'd you pick those up? I live by Sacramento and have yet to see newer Bandai vinyls in any store.

Anime Jungle in LA. They had a Gigabrain Godzilla listed on their eBay page, but it turns out they sold it back in January... Bought these instead.

Just ordered myself an Ultra-Act Gomora.
Unlike MonsterArts I'm going to limit myself with Ultra-Act and order the figures that I really want.
So far I want to find Baltan, and then once they release I'll get the revised Hayata and Red King figures.

I came home kinda tipsy from the Thai New Year festival, and somehow ended up in a Toys R Us and picked these up. After sobering up, I took a closer look at these guys. I never had the Gigan, so I guess I just wanted it in my collection. The Fusion Mecha G has some pretty splotchy paint on it. It looks great when you hold it up to the light, but if not, it looks pretty lousy, like someone haphazardly applied the paint. I'm kinda bummed out at how much these have increased in price since they were first released. I used to get them for 7.99 at my local CVS plus if I spend over $20 I used to get $4 discounts with coupons. Now these suckers run for 12.99 each. WTF yo. I guess the S.H. Monsterarts don't seem to bad relative to these considering how much work goes into producing those.

In my new Ultra-Phase I also went along and bought myself an Ultra-Act Baltan Seijin.
Was tempted to buy a Hayata 1.0 but resisted until the new version comes out.

Update - HLJ is having an Ultraman sale, so I took the advantage to order myself an Ultra-Act Ultraman Gaia (V2). Even though I was waiting for Hayata 2.0, I couldn't resist getting Gaia since he's one of the better looking Ultras.

Got 'lucky' myself, yesterday. We did our usual run, hitting several second-hand shops, comic shops, and yard sales. Not too many decent finds, and then I see THIS guy sitting in a bin stuffed with dinosaur toys - GOMORA! I saw a bit of his tail and hips from where I was standing, but before I was able to get my hands on him, my wife grabbed him out first, yelling to me: "Hey, hon, look at this CRAZY version of Baragon!!" So awesome...
I got him for $1.00, and he is apparently some sort of "Raiou Power" (sp) version. He is brick-red with dark highlights and very detailed. (Bandai 2005)

I was still flying high on finding an Ultra kaiju "in the wild", and my wife felt the urge to hit Toys-R-Us. (Not usually a fan these days, as I'm not interested in 98% of the lines that they carry..) I was looking at the superheroes and Star Wars with her when I glanced down toward the lower floor racks......NEW Bandai vinyls - YAY!! As a life-long kaiju fan, I'm not accustomed (living in the U.S.) to finding figures on store shelves, I felt like I was 6-years-old again at the Sears store buying those 'Godzilla Gang' figures....loved it.

Oh, I didnt find the Burning G or the Gigan, but I grabbed two Godzillas and two Mecha Gs. There seems to be a clear/smokey variant, so I made sure to grab 'em all. The Mecha G is, I believe, a re-release from the 90s. He is VERY detailed, SOFT, and for a change, he is able to be posed in more 'dynamic' poses. Also, the smokey Godzilla that I got is VERY soft; like to the point of being able to nearly be squished into a ball - awesome for me!

I have all of these guys, and they're some of my favorites! Great snags, for sure. The 8" Blue & Whites are some of Bandai's best work, in my opinion.

^What can I say? It's Texas, 'nadoes one day, clear skies all the way the next...Mostly it's just diabolically hot.

EDIT: Actually, the sun and the heat are the worst parts...sometimes after just 10 minutes or so out there, they get all soft...I've never taken anything outside for longer than that, so it's okay, but it just goes to show why you keep these things away from the sun.

There's a more important reason than the vinyl getting soft. Sunlight will discolor the translucent figures.
