Haha, I'm sure they were testing the waters at first to see what the reaction is. I know there's people who feel cold to this line, but it really is generating interest and seems to be selling pretty well, especially if there's already a second release of Goji on the way. F' it. I'm excited.

If you ask me this is quite an exciting prospect of them doing other monsters outside of Godzilla. Who knows? Maybe Tamashii ( wishful thinking here) could do some Ray Harryhausen critters if they can get the rights.

Will you be picking up the Evangelion stuff, Cap? You seem to at least know one Angel from the other...

Eh. Undecided. Evangelion was the last new anime series I actually liked, back when some friends and I did a marathon of the whole thing on bootleg VHS tapes around '98-99. I don't have any Eva figures...mostly because they've never really done any of the Angels, so maybe? Haha, I need to make more money...

EDIT: Oh, and haha, don't give me too much credit; Google is my friend as well. ;)

Yeah that's not gonna happen. There were no American (or otherwise foreign) properties on the questionairre. It would kick ass for sure but don't expect anything but Japanese properties in this line.

Yeah, they only did the Skeleton Warriors so far. There's such a rich bestiary for them to choose from. Nah, nah. Let's do an Iron Man from the Avengers instead.

Found a video on youtube with this guy from Japan who made some pics of Spacegodzilla. He has an interesting picture of it scaled with Godzilla here too.

But there's SO many Iron Man and Captain America figures out there, many of them super articulated. Why make another when you can make Rhedosaurus, Ymir, the Hydra, the Cyclops, Taro, Talos, the Minoton, Gwangi, the two headed Roc, Medusa, the young Allosaurus, Calibus, Ceratosaurus, the Griffon, the Honculus, the Harpies, the Saber Tooth, Archelon, the Troglodyte, etc????

So far, Revoltech has been just talk when it comes to Harryhausen. If SHM wants to take a crack at it, I'm all for it!

Because the first two will be bought by like everyone, while the following ones would be bought by older collectors only. Simple case. They're most likely equivalent to more money.

I dunno how many kids even know about the Revoltech Marvel toys, Pete. I also don't think anyone but collectors buy them. Casual figure collectors would likely just snag one of the Hasblo figures. Honestly, if I was interested in Iron Man figures I don't think I'd get the Revos either.

I wasn't talking about kids only, but average toy-buying people in a whole. I don't know the situation in Japan exactly, but judging on the average global character popularity I'd assume that characters like Iron man are more popular among the general population (yes, that includes todays' kids, too) than such obscure one-time monster appearances. So I'd assume that the latter probably get less buys. That's all I wanted to say.
