If they add bleeding then it would likely get a T rating. I don't think it will effect sales that much since anyone can buy it.

Hmm...It doesn't add replay-value or content. So nope.

Texturing the polygons wouldn't add replay-value or content either, should we completely write that off too?

Of course monster battle damage is just a graphical flourish, so it's not even close to being vital to the core gameplay, but it's a detail that would spice up the visual presentation. There seems to be an attitude that anyone that even suggests battle damage on the monsters is some kind of perverse gore-hound, and I think that's a little ridiculous. To me, battle damage on the monsters doesn't seem that far removed from smoke and fire effects on the buildings/environment. Again, certainly not vital to the actual gameplay experience, but a detail that helps sell that these are giant beasts kicking each other's asses.

I just think if it's feasible from a technical stand-point, it's at least worth giving a thought. If "Maybe" was an option on the poll, that's what I would have voted for.

I think battle damage is something cool to have since it gives a cool look to the characters after battle. The recent DBZ games have it since 2005 and I think Brawl almost added battle damage at one point.

Brawl was going to have battle damage. There were textures for a mask-cracked and cape-torn Meta Knight and a visor-chipped Capt. Falcon.

I say if it gets the non-Godzilla-fan graphics junkies interested, go for it.

I would like for a future Godzilla game to have Battle Scars/Little Blood, since it gives it a little "Drama" to the battle for example.
For the Rating im sure it could get a T and not an M so i dont see of that being a problem.
Unstoppable Fury , Unthinkable Power , Unbreakable Will.

Didn't DAMM, STE, and G:U already have T ratings? :eh:

I know right. It's like some people think we're talking about MK level violence. HELL NO.

Plus we've had blood in a few of the films, it was rare but it DID happen sometimes and usually it wasn't anything over the top, just neck or mouth bleeding a little like King Ghidorah's neck bleeding in DAM, or a little bit of blood flying out when Heisei Mechagodzilla first used it's Shock Anchors/G-Crusher cables on Godzilla.

Don't have them bleed everytime they're hit, just when certain attacks are used and even then just a little drip like a nose bleed. Or little dents in Mechagodzilla. Hell Showa Mechagodzilla did recive little dents in his debut film when King Caesar body slammed into him. Maybe make one of the eyes on Mechagodzilla crack but still functionally so it still shoots lasers.

Yeah I can see battle damage happening. I think that'd be ok. I don't see the game being ultraviolent etc. It depends on how tough it is to implement etc.

They did but I think they would have got a E10+ rating if that rating exist at the time. Just having little bits of blood don't be a issue since it will just get a T rating instead of a E10+ rating.
