Anybody else actually read any Orc Stain? He's a pretty interesting writer as well as being a hell of an artist.

I do enjoy solid continuity, but there is an undeniable benefit to being free to adapt a familiar character however the storyteller sees fit. Too bad the Millennium films (for the most part) didn't really stretch the formula as far as the potential allowed. I'm glad IDW is giving us these unrelated tales from the Godzilla-multiverse, as it were. Legends really gets points for running with that. With this new title (like G&G before it) IDW continues to give us a nice chance to see different creators and approaches to the material. Yeah, KoM ended up being, *ahem*, not to my taste, but everything else in the line has appealed to me on some level or another.

Ditto 100%. I need to buy issue #12 of KOM just so I can have the full line in my possession, but I just didn't care for those comics much at all.

Gangsters & Goliaths, on the other hand, rocked my world. I loved them so much I made motion comics out of the first two issues:

Legends was great as well, especially Titanosaurus and Hedorah's outings. Two of my favorite comics of all time.

I'm really looking forward to this miniseries, though. The artwork combined with the color pallet is killer.

I can't wait for this! Although I have to say, the Godzilla within the preview looks mostly like Kiryu-Goji, I find this to be a decent break away from the Heisei design (Which has mostly be used often). I look forward to this mini-series, the art is awesome and Godzilla looks extremely well done, the destruction is sweet, and the colors deliver.

Haha, already two comments on the color...Stokoe uses more gradients on one page than any 5 other comics use combined. He makes it work, but it's not for every style. His "hyper-detailed" style takes full advantage of it, but I'd hate to see, say, Geoff Darrow colored this way; I think it'd look muddy and take away from his line work. This looks pretty amazing and I love the little things, like G's roar. Can't wait; the story even sounds great.

Anyways, this looks pretty solid. The artwork is pretty damn cool, and the concept is certainly kind of neat. Not sure what I think about the graffiti art Godzilla roar though.
