These guys are my favorite band. I love every album they've had. They've ranged from Hardcore Punk, to Metalcore, to Metal, to Experimental Rock, and back to Metal. Nightmare beat out City of Evil for my favorite album when it came out. Synyster Gates is the one who inspired me to play guitar. I could talk for days about how great these guys are to me.

I love City of Evil and the A7X album, but I just don't wanna listen to Nightmare, I like their old drummer too much.

The Rev was awesome dude. But they got his favorite drummer to play the parts he wrote prior to his death. I can respect that mindset, but I can look past in because I think the Rev would have wanted this album to be enjoyed even though he's dead.

Yup, I just heard about that. But he didn't technically leave them. He wanted to take a break for a while because they have pretty much been working for 20 years straight. They just decided to keep on going without him. Which is odd. Dream Theater just won't be the same.

It's safe to say that it will be a new era for both bands
