With a destructive force like Godzilla trashing japanese cities, its only logical that travelers from other worlds/dimensions take notice and get involved. Although the space invaders are often our enemy, it somewhat gets me how Godzilla tends to aid us to defeat them every time. One would think either the ETs would aid the humans to rid the menacing King of Monsters, or their motive to oppose us would include using Godzilla to wreck as much havoc as monsterly possible to utilize the invasion. Why would man and monster coexist? It doesn't make much logical sense especially from what Godzilla can do to mankind.
My question is, why whenever there's a alien menace involved in a Godzilla film, Godzilla himself automatically becomes "the good guy"? If these alien beings were so smart they would know more about Godzilla than we do and use the advantage of that knowledge against us wouldn't you think? Instead they introduce these aliens who have the tendency to wipe out mankind in whole using a "MechaGodzilla"? Dammit! You went out of your way to build a mechanical duplicate of Godzilla as if Godzilla himself is not good enough for the job? I would think aliens were smarter than this. This could be the very reason why Toho later decided that MG would be built by humans instead. If an Alien race wanted to exterminate us, and Godzilla just so happens to be in the middle of it, I would doubt that they would unleash one of their monsters to attempt to destroy him. Btw the ETs in Godzilla films never really have monster help assistance, rather they are either controlled by them or they are just unleashed upon our world. So what exactly do these aliens want to achieve? If they have the ability to control monster behavior then why waste time sending monsters to fight off Godzilla? And if they for some reason don't have the ability to control Godzilla (lack of M Base DNA possibly) then why not just let him do the job for them?
In conclusion I believe Toho is biased toward the intelligence of Extraterrestrial entities.
