-Chucky Plush Mini Clip-on (I wanted the Freddy and Jason ones but they're already out and I can't afford to buy them right now, Chucky was still preordred, and I don't give a damn about the Saw guy until I get the other ones)

I just received a 1985 issued Masudaya False-Maria figure. Been wanting this vinyl for a long time, but I typically see them listed around $200 - $250, which is more than I was willing to pay. Finally managed to work out a decent deal for this one. I was planing on painting her to give the details a bit more depth, but she's so pretty as is, I might just leave her alone. There are two bulbs in the base, which look awesome in the dark. Even in the light, it's still an impressive figure, you can see that she stands nearly as tall as the Trendmasters Ultimate Godzilla. All in all, I'm more excited about this fig than anything I've gotten in a while.

There wasn't really a "line" per say. This was a vinyl display piece that Masudaya released in 1985 to coincide with the release of the Giorgio Moroder theatrical edit of Metropolis. Not many of them out there, but it is by far the most accurate version of Maria that's ever been produced by a major company. Hollywood Collectibles just released a $300 statue recently, but if you look at the face and the proportions of the figure, they're all screwed up. It's pretty, but it isn't the real deal. That's why I was trying to get the old Masudaya vinyl for so long.
