Taken (2007) - on Blu-Ray because I bought it for me mum. She enjoyed it, so did I.
Personally: 4/5
Critically: 4/5

The Shadow (1994) - man this is dated, but it's still goofy fun.
Personally: 3.8/5
Critically: 2/5

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - a bit boring now, obviously dated. Had a hard time sitting through it.. but I really dig the large epic scale of the film compared to CotCS. Also it's 9000x better then Temple of Doom.
Personally: 3/5
Critically: 4/5

Zoom Academy for Superheroes (20??) - oh Jesus why did I download this? HORRIBLE! The bitterness of "Zoom" played by Tim Allen wasnt fake. He was really pissed he was in the film.
Personally: 1/5
Critically: 1/5

Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3, Jaws The Revenge, and Shark Night.

All were very fishy, and the only one I really liked was the first Jaws.

Green Lantern. I was over at a friend's house last weekend and we watched it. Honestly...this movie was bad =\

Hell, we eventually decided to just turn it off cause it was so damn horrible. The CG stooped down to Sy-Fy Original level at it's worst and "meh" at it's best. The scene where Hal finds the dying alien in the pod was soooo stupid. Did he even realize that was an alien? He sure as hell didnt act like it.

Green Lantern has been a big hitter comic since 2005. I have no idea how they couldve skreeonk up a movie so bad. They shouldve gotten Geoff Johns to write it.

Titan AE. A highly underrated animated movie if you ask me. I always like that sort setting. Lots of different kinds of aliens living in space along side each other (5th element, star wars so on...)

Love it. I wish they would do more space updates of classic stories. Sci Fi is the way forwards!

Puss in Boots- Fun, though not as clever as some of the Shrek films, but I still enjoyed it.

The Thing (2011)- I liked it. It was a decent prequel though not the most interesting thing out there, and I prefer the 1982 one over it, but I liked it anyhow.

Apollo 18- Interesting concept but slow and boring story, but it's just meant to be a fun little monster movie.

A Thousand Words
This movie was pretty funny and well done, but towards the end (like last 20 mins) it got kinda dark/dramatic. One of the few roles that I can't imagine anyone but the actor in the movie playing the character. Eddie Murphy was great, great funny and dramatic. Odd that he almost spoke the least in this.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (2011)- I've never seen the original, but I enjoyed this one fairly well.

Real Steel- Pretty awesome, and the effects were great.

Vertigo - One of the most finely crafted films of all time. Another one of those "make me feel like I'm wasting my time because I'll never make anything this perfect". The ending is impossibly stupid and rushy, however. Otherwise it's an incredible movie and well deserved its status as a Classic thriller.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark 2011 - First off, lets talk about the positives. The creatures were neat looking, and there was some stuff involving them. Unfortunately, that's about it. Almost nobody is likeable, and everyone has to act in the stupidest, and I mean the *stupidest* manner possible to drive the plot forward (for the love of god, turn on a damn light!). Very disappointing, and I really wanted to like it.

Julia's Eyes - A woman on the verge of going blind is positive that her twin sister did not commit suicide, but was in fact murdered by a shadowy killer. Another flick produced by Guillermo Del Toro, this one started off with great promise, but there's little suspense, no real twists, and the solution to the mystery is deeply unsatisfying, with a terribly lame and unfrightening killer to boot. Oh, and one of the cheesiest final shots in cinematic history.

The Fright Night remake.

As we all know a teen discovers that his neighbor is a vampire, he goes to a famous actor who always portrays a vampire killer, but the guy doesn't listen. But, in the end the two team up to stop the vampire and save his girl friend. Oh yeah and lets not forget Evil Ed, "Your So Cool Brewster". Overall, its a pretty good modern day remake, but its still not quite as good as the original.

I would give a 7/10

Blair Witch Project
To be honest, I don't do well with ghost films, so my Mom was surprised when I decided to watch this (her boyfriend is moving in, and he brought 200+ VHS tapes, this was one of them- He agreed to give me 70 bucks should I watch them all to see if they work. 5 movies in and only one is bad, which is pretty good.), and she kept texting me- "Do you need me to come out there?"
The movie starts out somewhat slowly, but it was using that time to build up the suspense, which few horror films seem to do. Blair Witch did so very well, and the set up worked to its favor- with the little todler trying to shut her mom up as she tells the story, to the tale of the hermit who killed the seven kids (seven kids, seven piles of stones in the woods; conincidence? I think not. Not to mention the child like laughter they heard outside their tents at one point). When the scares began to come, they came fast and hard. The movie was atmospheric, and thankfully held to the idea that 'More story, less gore' was the way to scare; this added to it greatly. The scariest part, for me, was the scene where the trio are in their tent and hear the laughing children as the tent is hit, as if by little hands (children laughing and singing, I find, is as scary as children crying if done right); I was also scared by the last scene, where Mike is in the corner and can't hear anyone else.
On a personal note, I was scared shitless by this movie. My Mom and her Boyfriend were in her room and could hear me in the living room, screaming something to the effect of "No, you dumbfuckers, don't go into the skreeonk woods at night! Stay in the skreeonk tent!" Her boyfriend wanted to scare me, but she stopped him, as I have a bad habbit of reacting violently when scared (I broke my Mom's nose when I was 13 after watching 'The Sixth Sense' when she snuck up on me and said "I see dead people"). It's probably a good thing he stayed with her, as I had the fire poker in my lap, and given that I used to play baseball, it... wouldn't have been pretty.
But, all in all, an excellent film, scary, atmosheric, and I ain't going in the woods for a while. Three stupid deceased teenage filmmakers out of three stupid deceased teenage filmmakers!

Transformers Dark of the Moon- Third time viewing it, this time by myself, and I enjoyed it a lot more this way.

Wrath of the Titans: In all honesty, this movie was very lopsided. It had plenty of great action sequences and dazzling special effects, but the characters seemed bland and mic of the story was rushed. It was a little disappointing, but it held up a little better than I thought it would. A little.

Megamind. Good voice acting. Well animated. I just found the plot didnt jump out at me which is unusual because I always love the bad guy. I did think Megamind was a good character though. I liked his gadgets. Go Brain bots!
