Which "new" monsters do you want in the next Godzilla game?

Oh hell yeah, Dagahra is AWESOME looking, and a flying quadruped WOULD spice up the monster line-up nicely. I might even try to sit through Rebirth of Mothra 2 again just to get to know the monster a little better.

EDIT: Just did a little reading on him to brush up... I think this would be the first monster where they'd need to REMOVE beams instead of add them. Freaking Heisei monsters.

You should probably stop there.

, so they seem like pretty similar characters, especially since they're both inspired by Ultraman.

Your kidding right?

Not to be a dick but let's look at their powers then.

Zone Fighters powers.

Image

Now let's look at Jet Jaguar's powers.

Image

Yep the robot is totally like the two aliens. And just for shits and giggles let's look at Ultraman's powers.

Image

Also let's see, Zone Fighter has KILLED Gigan, beaten King Ghidorah to a draw, beat Godzilla in a friendly sparring match and has teamed up with the king of the monsters 5 times. Also he has many powers where all Jet Jaguar has is flight and growth and Zone Fighter pretty much is the closest thing we will ever get to Ultraman and since we will never get Ultraman we might as use a substitute.

Finally Zone Fighter and Ultraman are aliens, Jet Jaguar is a robot.

Not trying to be a dick but you kind of went off and started talking about something you don't know anything about. I hope you don't take this as a personal insult. But I just think Zone Fighter could provide a more interesting gameplay because of his variety in powers Jet Jaguar doesn't have. He could be like the glass cannon, really powerful attacks but bad durability.

I know very little about these characters, that's why I asked. I wasn't trying to be sarcastic or smarmy, I was legitimately asking. I'm sure you can understand that just going by screenshots or stills, the three characters do all have similar designs, so it'd be easy to assume they all function similarly. It seemed like Jet Jaguar was created to cash in on Ultraman's popularity, so it's surprising to find he's a lot different. For whatever reason Toku heroes like Ultraman and Zone Fighter never really appealed to me, so I've never sought them out.... though I am going to put aside some time to finish watching ZF's fights with Toho monsters.

I like the idea of ZF as a glass cannon... I don't think we've really had anybody like that in a prior Godzilla game, and it seems like that'd be the only way to balance him without removing a bunch his powers. He looks a lot like JJ, but I can see how he'd play a lot differently. And being the star of the closest thing we ever got to a live-action Godzilla TV show, it'd be cool for him to get some love in a new game.

He pretty much is a glass cannon in the show so it's not like it'd be out of character for him to be a glass cannon in the game.

If there is a new Godzilla game, I'd like the following monsters to be playable...

1. Hedorah-The Smog Monster's been WAY overdue for a video game at this point and I really think he deserves to be playable.

2. King Kong/Mechani-Kong-These guys are really unlikely due to the red tape, but I would still enjoy seeing them appear.

3. Showa Godzilla-His moveset would be insane with flying abilities, tail slides and magnetism.

4. Zone Fighter-Wouldn't mind the Meteor Man making an appearance. I like Living Corpse's suggestion of making him a glass cannon.

5. Minya-He'd be flipping hilarious. I think it'd be hilarious if they gave him his size changing powers from Godzilla's Revenge, he'd be like a surreal combination of Jet Jaguar and Godzilla. Smoke Rings FTW.

6. Gabara-I think he'd be a neat addition for a fighter. I can see him using electrical based attacks obviously.

7. Zilla-We need a punching bag.

8. Frankenstein/Gargantuas-Dying to see one of these guys in some Godzilla related media. I think if one of them is implemented, the other two should be unlockable skins.

9. Gezora-Gotta agree with hammysammy, he'd be a hilarious joke character.

10. Dogora-I don't expect him being a playable character, but as a humongous boss monster he'd be pretty cool.

11. Gorosaurus-C'mon, who wouldn't want to play as old Goro and Kangaroo Kick your opponent into submission?

12. Monster X-Although I hate Keizer Ghidorah, I still would like to see Monster X appear in a fighter. He just seems like a fun addition.

13. Bagan-Although his chances of coming back in anything Godzilla related are astronomically small, I wouldn't mind Bagan being an unlockable character or a super tough boss. Would be a nice way to bring him back instead of a movie imo.

Gorosaurus
Zilla
Showa Minya
Godzilla 1968
A true Showa King Ghidorah, not Pipeworks' "hybrid" garbage
Hedorah
Gabara
Showa Rodan
Gargantuas
King Kong (I know, next to impossible, got it, still want him.)

Gorosaurus, Hedorah, and maybe Monster X are the only ones I can really think of off the top of my head.

New versions of monsters we've already seen that I'd like in the next Godzilla game:

Almost any Godzilla besides Godzilla 2000
It's not like I hate Godzilla 2000 or anything... but I don't love him either. Plus he's been the flagship Godzilla for all three Pipeworks games... it's time to give someone else a shot. 1962's Kinggoji has a great reptilian look and villainous personality, 1964's Mosugoji is a widely loved fan favorite, who set the tone for plenty of Godzillas to come, 1974's puppy-faced superhero Godzilla is another fan favorite with tons of personality and crazy-awesome potential for a moveset, GMK Godzilla is a scary, powerful and visually striking take on the classic monster, and 2004's Finalgoji is a lean, mean monster that blends a lot of great aspects from past suits. I think any of these would make for a great flagship video game Godzilla. Why didn't I mention removing "Godzilla 90s"? Because he's clearly based on 1989's Biogoji, which is easily one of the best versions of the monster ever. I'd be totes okay with him coming back. Plus, he's usually not featured as the game's "main" Godzilla either.

Showa King Caesar
Now don't get me wrong, I was happily thrilled to see King Caesar come back in Final Wars AND Godzilla Unleashed, but his Showa form just looks better. I don't know if this is the case in Final Wars, but in Unleashed, on KC's back it looked like he was wearing fur suspenders... and before long, that was all I could see! It looks so damn silly! The human-style eyes aren't bad, but I think the big red gem eyes look better. On closer examination, it looks like Unleashed kind of made a hybrid Caesar, keeping the red eyes from Showa, but keeping the leaner, cleaner, more humanoid body style from Final Wars. I think full Showa is the way to go: he's shaggier, bulkier and overall just more monster-y.

Showa Moguera
Heisei MOGUERA is fine and all, but I love Showa Moguera. His eye rays have a really unique look, and his design and personality are just so awesomely derpy.... and yet, in some shots in The Mysterians, with his glowing eyes and long drill-nose, he also manages to look pretty eerie. Just in general I think Showa Moguera is a more appealing design, especially in the face. With Showa and Heisei Moguera having completely different backstories and abilities, you could feasibly have both in the same game if you wanted... but if Mogueras are like Highlanders (there can only be one) my vote is for Showa. MOGUERA FOREVER

I sure hope none of you want to remove Godzilla 2000. If anything, we can always add a Godzilla.

....I can't be the only one who likes Keizer Gidorah on this forum.

If I had to pick one new monster, it would be him.

No, your not the only one, I want him to make the roster for a Godzilla game, but right now, he might be a bit much to completely create.

I don't think so. He doesn't really fly so that takes care of a big problem I think. Run, charge, beam, etc. The trick would be coming up with more moves for him.

Hmmm....

Movelist:

1. Rampage- Keizer Ghidorah charges straight through and bone rushes the opponent with its chest, this knocks down smaller opponents, but pushes back opponents near its size.

2. Kaizer Stomp- Ghidorah lifts himself up on his hind legs then slams his front feet down onto his opponent, if the opponent is up-close then the opponent will be crushed into the ground head first. If the opponent is already down then damage will be slightly more potent.

3. Gravity Beam Strike (Tap energy projectile key, since the game will most likely be released onto PC), costs energy- A mildly weak Gravity Beam will stream out and strike the opponent in a quic strike.

4. Gravity Beam Wave- (Hold down energy projectile key, costs energy) A powerful triple stream Gravity Beam wave that does devastating damage, though the draw-back is a mildly slow moment brief charge.

5. Gravity Slam (Projectile Grapple)- Gravity Beams constrict around the opponent, lifts up the opponent greatly high then whips down the enemy with a monstrous slam. (Needs Gravity Beam Wave but you must grapple and use the first attack button while the attack is still in use, costs energy)

6. Gravity Thrash (Projectile Grapple)- Gravity Beams constrict around the opponent then painfully drags the victim across the arena (Same execution as Gravity Beam Slam, but you use the second attack button, this attack can be controlled and continued but greatly costs energy)

7. Essence Drain (Main Grapple)- Keizer Ghidorah bites down onto the opponent with all three heads then drains a mildly large portion of its victim's energy and a small percentage of their health as well.

8. Keizer Headbutt- The Xillian Emperor rears all three heads back slightly then slams all three down into the opponent's skull or upper body with tremendous force. Opponents are knocked down from this.

9. Know Fear- Kaizer Ghidorah loudly shrieks, stunning opponents for 4-5 seconds, causes no damage but lightly slows down energy restoration for a long moment.

10. Dethrone- Keizer Ghidorah leans his heads down lowly, the sharply lifts them upward, striking the opponent up off the ground and tossing over the victim behind its body like a rag doll.

That's ten moves right there, the rest could be simple attacks and strikes that most would expect from a Ghidorah. Hope that somewhat helps Chris.

He should have a move where he uses his gravity beams on himself in order to chuck his body as a projectile.

That would be an awesome attack to see, kinda reminds me of Zekrom except that it'll be just as equally awesome.

Thank you! Still thinking up of a move list for Finao Goji/Godzilla 2004 so that if he has a chance, then the list could be used or be used as a reference.
