Deep Sea Monster Reigo: Now, I didn't get to see this with English subs so I didn't catch everything some of the characters were saying but I was able to get the main story. I hear that there are eng subbed versions floating around on torrents, but they're probably HK Eng subs and I'd rather watch a RAW movie than an HK English subbed movie.

Synopsis: The Battleship Yamato and a few other ships attacked what they thought to be an enemy submarine but turned out to be a infant Reigo. This pisses off Momma Reigo, so it and some Devil Bone Fish (apparently it and Raiga's minions) decide to attack the Yamato fleet in revenge for killing its offspring.

Pros:
-This movie seemed to take it self more seriously than Raiga does.
-Reigo and the Devil Bone Fish were awesome.
-I do like the setting for this movie.
-The casting was well done
-Alot of the scenes with the monsters not in CGI looked decent.

Cons:
-The CGI is bad for the most part. Reigo itself looked ok but the CGI ships looked terrible. I know that the movie was made on a short budget but damn.
-The epilogue scene is weird as hell.
-No subs kinda makes it hard to understand everything.

Like Crazy. This movie sucked. It was a big, artsy, suckfest that was not so much romantic as painful and awkward. The thing that finally ends it is just skreeonk stupid. skreeonk this movie.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm- Decent plot and animation, and a pretty good mystery.

Kong: King of Atlantis- Decent, animation isn't much different from the show, but god why did they have to sing?

Godzilla (1954)- Finally got around to viewing my Criterion Blu-Ray, very great picture and awesome special features.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 -
Like the book, this movie tries REAL hard to focus on Harry, Ron and Hermione sitting in a tent on a country-side, doing nothing. I had the same issue with the book - WTF?! They run away with ZERO clues?! ALOT of this film couldve been cut, like GoF, and a 2nd part wouldnt have been needed. But it did was was expected - brought a shitload of money into the industry.
Personally: 3/5
Critically: 3/5

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 -
I liked this alot more. It had that LOTR massive battlefield feel. I need to re-read the book because I dont remember alot of that shit happening.
Personally: 4/5
Critically: 3/5

Godzilla, King of the Monsters- Criterion Blu-Ray was pretty good for this one too.

An American Werewolf in London- Incredibly awesome effects and a good story, plus some nice humor and scares.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) -

Decided after I read the book, Im going to watch the movies. So tonight was the first. Still magical, but the CGI is dated and it's obvious Ratcliffe, Watson and Rupert are child actors. But it works. I think they tried to move away from the VERY family friendly feel with CoS. But I love this film still.

You say that now, but in 20 years when we all go see "Ride" you'll eat those words

Anyways for me

Immortals - Decent, story was a little slow in parts imo, and it was kinda boring when people weren't being killed. Still I'd watch it again if I was bored.

I hadn't seen this one for years. The SFX were about as I remembered, but it was good to see it again.

Space Amoeba: I think what strikes me first about this movie is how much the subtitles vary from the translated dub. I'd prefer the subtitles a thousand times over, in all honesty. But, let's put that aside for now. The movie itself is pretty good. The whole Amoeba concept is pretty interesting, and it's cool to see a battle like Ganimes vs Kamoebas. It's pretty unique, and has a nice climatic feel to sum up a pretty decent movie. I wouldn't go so far as to say this movie is great, but I'd definitely watch it again (not because it has Akira Kubo or anything...). Im giving it a hearty three stars out of five.

"Son of Kong"

Rushed followup to the classic original. Not a bad film, but it's only 69 minutes long and half of that is spent getting back to Skull island.

Alligator- Some nice effects and a really nice story

I was going to watch Alligator 2, but that's not on DVD in America and the file I had for it on my computer some how undownloaded itself and I don't have time to search for a new one. Oh internet why are you usually useless to me?

Lake Placid 2- I still wished they left Lake Placid alone, but this one wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's not great or anything, and a lot of things felt like a repeat from the first film.

Lake Placid 3- This one sucked though. The characters were awful and the story was so uninteresting.

Primeval- Brutal and violent, but the CGI croc was rather cool and it had some nice scenes throughout and was rather tense.

Finally got around and seeing Moneyball. A pretty darn good movie if you ask me!
I was also impressed with Jonah Hill's performance in this film (Finally he stars in something that doesn't involve high school, sex, drugs, and partying!).

The Land Unknown(1957)

I've been wanting to see this movie for a while, but have been unable to find it on DVD. Thankfully, I discovered the whole film on YouTube.

It's a pretty decent sci-fi flick. The plot is fairly simple and straightforward, but pretty interesting. The acting is, unfortunately, rather flat, but it is serviceable.
I do like the combined used of suit animation and live animals; normally using real lizards annoys me, but here it doesn't feel as bad. The Tyrannosaurus is rather silly, but a great "B-monster". The Plesiosaur fairs a little better.

Overall, not a great film, but fairly entertaining. I wouldn't consider it a BAD film, just simple fun. I give it 6/10.

The Grudge 3
It's about a two evil spirits killing a number of people in a Chicago apartment building, reborn from they're last victim's demise (they killed him by breaking every bone in his body, looks horrifing from the camera's perspective.). Then a woman arrives revealing herself to be the sister of one of the spirits and holds a ceremony to stop the curse, but things got horribly awry when one of the victims is taken hold by a great fury, resulting in the woman's death. After dying at the grip of a powerful rage, she herself is turned into a ju-on, like her sister and kills the man responsible for her death (By eating his neck out.). The spirits are stop after one of the victims drinks the thing to contain it, but later reveals that was unleashed once more.

I personally love the Grudge franchise, and this film is no exception. It had some things the others didn't, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I give it 8/10.

I'm a big fan of the Ju-on franchise, but the Grudge 3? Ugh.

I got a huge laugh out of the way one of the characters shrugged of the deatg of whatshername from TNG, saying "Old people die." Yeah, they bleed relentlessly, scream bloody murder, their eyes fall out, and they die. That's exactly what happens to old people.
