I'm pretty sure it will come, Legendary Pictures paid out a lot of money for Godzilla, i doubt there just gonna let the property drop at-least without a fight.

Thomas Tull CEO of Legendary is a huge Godzilla fan, Hell he's the main reason they got the right's an i'm sure after then 98 film Toho weren't all up for it an it took a lot convincing to even get them.

A lot of effort has been done to even get this property, an they already have a director an on there 2nd writer (I don't count Callaham since they completely rejected his script) even if it takes a couple more years even though i'd rather not but i just want a film an properly respects the franchise an it's fans.

I'll be shocked an extremely i mean extremely disappointed if this got canceled.

If this project happens to tank, another Godzilla project will surface down the road. Action/Sci-Fi/Fantasy films will always be in demand, and CG driven movies are the craze now, and I don't see that changing.

I just have to laugh when I hear people say that Godzilla isn't popular enough to justify a big budget Hollywood film. Obviously LP thought enough of him!

There are no limits in Hollywood, that's why you see films like the Smurfs, Muppets, Bewitched, Land of the Lost, Ghost Rider, Speedracer, etc., being made. It's not like there was a huge outcry for any of those films to be made. Its entertainment, and sometimes you hit a homerun on a Tier 3 type character like Ghost Rider or strike out on an old Japanese cartoon character like Speedracer.
