It's not a matter of age, my friend. It's a matter of taste. And I'll grant you that the 70s still had a LOT of standouts, but compared to the decades that gave us the likes of Grace Kelly and Raquel Welch, I decided that things were on the downturn by the disco decade.


However, just for the hell of it, let me give a shout out to Yasuko Sawaguchi, Anna Nakagawa and Maki Mizuno from the later eras of G-Films, and Shinobu Nakayama of Gamera: GotU and Gamera III (whom I find fascinatingly adorable).
