OH SHIT! VR TROOPERS! That shit was dark and gritty!

Does this include Masked Rider?

Awesome news. Now if Shout! can finally grab the rights to the first three Digimon anime seeing that they don't have a R1 release outside the movie.

So far, the deal just includes the shows mentioned in the press release.

I am soooooooooooo buying these.

Disappointed in no Superhuman Samurai: Syber Squad, though.

Id love the original Power Rangers, up until the Shogun-zords, Time Force & Lost Galaxy.

And I must have all of VR Troopers and Beetleborgs!

SHSSS & Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters From Beverly Hills were produced by DIC not Saban. Saban shows NOT mentioned in the press release: Masked Rider & Mystic Knights All shows mentioned in the press release are currently available to stream on Netflix.

As mentioend on other sites, I dont really care about Power Rangers but I'm sure this media buzz will be great news for fans of the show. I'm just hoping it might generate interest in obtaining the original Sentai series subbed and released on DVD in North America.

Really? I always recalled the Saban logo at the end. Eh. I'm going senile.

I'll probably get VR Troopers and Beetleborgs. I'm not really interested in TMNT and not ready to get into Power Rangers.

KPA, do you know if Shout is interested in releasing the Japanese versions of these shows? Sort of like how Media Blasters released the Go Lion Voltron dvds

MB also release the original Tekkaman Blade not long after the Americanized Technoman series on DVD. I would love this, but some deal with Toei would have to be made.

I checked with Shout! Factory and the only Saban shows they have rights to are named in the press release. So MASKED RIDER isn't planned (for now, anyway).

The guys at Shout! know tokusatsu fans want the Japanese versions of whatever films/shows they release, so my guess is they've at least asked about it. But Saban has never shown any interest in releasing the Japanese versions so it might not be easy to convince them to do so now.

MMPR DVD = Awesome. Bring it on. I'd buy up Lost Galaxy, Wild Force, MMPR, and maybe Lightspeed Rescue. Childhood memories to be enjoyed again. Not to mention some pretty cool villians (Diabolico, Zen Aku).

Are you refering to Japanese vs. English reedit or original Mighty Morphin vs. that bizarre 60s Batman type thing they did a few years ago?

The latter I'm betting

Malchik is smart enough to know they are probably refering to the Americanized version when he saw the name "Power Rangers" and the company "Saban"

Especially on a blog that would probably call Sentai, by well Sentai.

That's what I figured. It was the wording that threw me off, especially since Power Rangers wasn't the only show this thread was about.

I hope it's not the bizarre rerelease. I have no clue what was up with that, and am not sure I want to.

Suggested special feature: dedication to Thuy Trang. Her death still saddens me after all these years.
