VS.
http://www.tohokingdom.com/kaiju/gorosaurus.htm

Arena:Where the DAM final battle took place

Rules:Gorosaurus is scaled to 50m

Verdict:The idea for this came from the curbstomp thread after Kiryu2012's post sparked a bit of interest. Now i like both combatants here, but I have to give this to Varan because he's got more a few more tools(flight [even if it was limited on film],armored hide, longer reach) that give him the edge over Gorosaurus, but Goro won't go down without a fight.

Varan 7/10
Gorosaurus 3/10

We know nothing about Varan other then the fact he isn't bright, he ate two bombs. He's gliding may complicate things but over all Gorosarus seems smart enough to learn from his mistakes while Varan, well, doesn't.

I'm giving it to Gorosarus.

Yeah, I don't see how Varan can at all do serious damage to Gorosaurus. For all we know, he may not be that durable.

Gorosaurus 10/10

Maybe not durable but he sure does have pain resistance since the first bomb blew open his stomach and he still didn't die until the second one he ate went off.

Any monster can eat a bomb and survive, unless that bomb was an atom bomb or a nuke, while Varan was killed by a pair of light bombs. He's really not that impressive. Gorosaurus, on the other hand, now he can be a vicious fighter. If this is the KKE Gorosaurus, his kicks will send Varan tumbling. If this is the DAM Gorosaurus, his kicks will shatter bones. Varan has nothing to work against Gorosaurus.

I cant think of any other monsters who swallowed bombs though, and either way it would do some slight to signifcant damage to internal organs.and as far as Gorosaurus and the kangaroo kick,im not sure Varan will just stand there and take it because iirc whenever it was used on Kong,he just stood there or ran into it

Varan would run into the kick as well, since he's not that smart. Like I said, the stregnth behind the kangaroo-kick depends on which Gorosaurus is in this match. Either way, I don't see how Varan can take this.

As much as I like Varan (he's my main in G:U ) I thinks he would be dumb enough to glide head first into a kick.

^This. If this is DAM Gorosaurus, Varan is royally screwed.

I think Varan could learn to avoid it via recognition if it doesnt hit or cripple him.it'd be no different from eating something you've never had before, then getting sick.instinctually u'll recognize and avoid said food item.so he could recognize the give-away of Gorosaurus rearing back to avoid the kick.

he's your main too?*high five* he could go head first, but who's to say the spines on his head wont puncture Gorosaurus' feet?

Your argument is completely moot. Think about what you just said and take into consideration how Varan died :?

Actually, didn't Varan eat the bombs before they when off? Therefore, he didn't know that his meal would be a bit spicy?
Whatever. I was going to watch Varan tonight anyway, so I might as well confirm it later.

He ate a bomb.

Two of them in fact. :(

after watching Varan The Unbelievable,I can confirm that he did eat two bombs, which exploded after ingestion.but did anyone else notice a difference in the roar used in VTU compared to this?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIRQjZVMWv0&feature=related

The thing though, is that he didn't know that they were bombs. He thought it was food. I think Gorosaurus could be tricked the same way if he too, were attracted to lights.

But after he swallowed it, it exploded. Then he did the exact same thing. It's safe to say kaiju some kaiju aren't that smart.

Yes, but we've only seen Varan do much of anything once. With Gorosaurus, we have two good appearances. Gorosaurus did appear to display some planning during the battle in DAM.

That's why I'm leaning towards Gorosaurus. Varan has claws and teeth, but Gorosaurus also has that mighty kick. It will floor Varan.

Gorosaurus is going to win this. Varan's gliding is slow compared to the flight of many flying kaiju, and Goro will not have a problem in this fight. His bite, tail swiping, and kangaroo-kick are by far his strongest attacks, and he could use them well against Varan. Varan may have spikes, but their too insignificant to be a game changer.

Not quite. Varan had swallowed BOTH bombs before either one went off.
