Let's hope not.

They could also add some type of adventure similar to the adventure mode in Melee. I can never get into Mission mode since it tells you to do moves in a way that I can never understand. Why not just list down X or A instead of pictures of a fist since a casual player is not going to know what means? I know that you are a hardcore fan but what about the casual players as well?

Why would they do that? This isn't Smash Bros. Like I said, none of Capcom's Marvel games (much less any of their crossover games) have had "adventure" or "story" modes. I don't see why MvC3 would be any different.
Mission mode tells you how to do everything. You need to access the command list, and it tells you how to do what's asked. It's very simple.
KaijuSinCritic, I know where you're coming from, but the problem is, not everyone realizes how much more deep old Capcom fighters were (SF III:3rd Strike, MvC2, CvS2, SF 2:Turbo, SF Alpha series, any Darkstalkers games, etc.), and they don't really care. I personally think SF IV has nice presentation, but the gameplay is a steaming pile of shit, and many "top" players from MD./VA. feel the same way, so it's not like we're a small minority..but the thing is, SF IV was a huge hit, so Capcom feels they're doing things right by making these new fighters easier to get into. The issue is these new games lack the depth seen in those older games and that's why people like us, are frustrated.
Since 2009, I've seen so many people start playing SF for the first time in years, and claim "this is the best Street Fighter yet!", and I can't help but just bite my lip/facepalm when it happens. Almost all of these players never played the older games on a tournament level, so to them, they couldn't care less about "depth". As long as the game is fun, that's all they care about. Unfortunately, the people at Capcom know this, so we get garbage like Street Fighter X Tekken, which is some bizarre amalgam of SF IV, and SF EX 3, with random mechanics from old crossover titles thrown into the mix. They also added the gem system, as well as stupid "auto combos" for people who suck ass, and just "wanna have fun". Capcom lets new players be lazy, by basically telling them "You don't have to learn this game properly, we'll hold your hand so you don't have to!"
It's really sad to see, and as far as I'm concerned, Capcom's glory days ended with CvS2 back in 2001. Everything we've been spoon fed since then have been fighting games with high marketability (The Marvel Vs. brand, and Street Fighter series in general), but not much in terms of actual depth.

Odd that you call him a kid if he is in the same age group as you? I don't see why they can't make a game that can be fun for both tournament level players and casual fighter players as well? I'm a casual fighter fan and I don't go to tournaments, if people want to play games that are similar to the older games then just play the other games? I feel the same with shooters now these days since I still play Doom, Serious Sam and Duke Nukem 3D over newer shooters like Call of Duty.

Coming out Soon!: Super Mega Ultra Giga Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Version 6.1 Beta 1.3.4 9000 B.C Special Online Arcade HD Turbo Edition Alpha X!
But I do think SF3 is the best out of the Street Fighters and adore CvS2. Of course, I'm liking SFxT too, but the easy combo thing is silly.

Game feels so slow and the parry system is awful.
