It could be a drastically redesigned Fin Fang Foom, but it's likely the Midgard Serpent/Jormungandr.

Its either the Midgard Serpent or Fin Fang Foom.

Keep in my the Foom already exists in the Movieverse and Foom is typically portrayed as a shapeshifter.

Entirely possible but unlikely. Marvel has been extremely meticulous about what goes into these films.

I agree with Destroyer, though I'm not quite fond of the new Captain America suit, in First Avenger, I thought it looked awesome, the suit being used for the Avengers, well...to me it looks a bit silly, I don't know, I'll just wait till it hit the theaters.

Uh, no? Marvel hasn't done that yet in any film. Everything big that appears has been something. Why would they start adding new shit when it could easily be something they can connect to the comic books?

Nothing is accidental in the Marvel-film-a-verse.

I thought they were saving Fin Fang Foom, and to an extention the Mandarin, for Iron Man 3.

So I'll say it's the Midgard Serpent/Jormungand. It ties into the Asgardian techno-magic set up in Thor. Loki IS the bad guy, and this could be the secret weapon for his Skrull army.

I want to call bullshit on something said by Whedon.

"Marvel said, 'We like to see the suits evolve,'" he explains, "and I said, "Great! Then you're going back to the circle because the triangle is ass'. I'm a classicist. The circle has meaning, the triangle does not."

Bullshit. It does because the last film was all about Stark curing himself with the help of his dead dad. Even if the new circle chest works the same as the triangle it's like going backwards design wise.

I know that's nitpicky but it bothers me more than recasting the Hulk.

I prefer Edward Norton's Bruce Banner more than Mark Ruffalo, who I wasn't impressed by in the trailer. I'll have to watch the actual film when it comes out to make a firm judgement, but based on what I've seen, I could care less about Ruffalo's take on Banner.

Ruffalo as Banner is fine. I think people invest a little too much in Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. When I saw Mark Ruffalo in the trailer, Edward Norton was the furthest thing from my mind. Does it seem like he's going to give the greatest performance of all time? Nope. But it sounds like Bruce Banner to me. Besides, who here is really into the Hulk for Banner? It's all about the Hulk, baby.

I don't know about anybody else, but I love the tortured soul that is Banner. Bill Bixby and Edward Norton were both terrific, and it was painful for me to lose Norton. I'm willing to give Ruffalo a chance, and he seems fine, it's just that the trailer isn't playing up the aspects of Banner I like to see.

How could you judge so harshly on a few trailers he's barely even been in? We've seen more of the Hulk than Banner.
