I would have loved to see Gigan, Anguirus, & Titanosaurus in the heisei series.

A Heisei Gigan would have been cool, I always think of the Trendmasters Gigan whenever that idea is mentioned

If I could go back in time and have any sort of control over the Heisei series I would definitely eliminate Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla and replace it as a Heisei Godzilla vs. Gigan, which would have been A LOT better.

I'd just like to see Varan come and get an awesome Heisei redesign!

I guess..they look like fan drawings. This take on the character looks exactly like the Showa Varan anyway.

Titano, Angy and Gigan deserved another chance in this series. Gigan being in the place of SpaceGodzilla sounds like
a good idea.

I agree, Even though I consider the Heisei series to be my favorite of the Godzilla series, it would have even better if Anguirus, Titanosaurus, and Gigan were in the series.

I can possibly see Anguirus working in the Heisei series, but not Titanosaurus or Gigan.

I can kinda see Varan, Baragon, and Manda in the Heisei series, but certainly not King Caesar, Ebirah, Kamacuras, Kumonga, Jet Jaguar, Megalon, Gabara, and maybe Hedorah.

Here's a redesigned Varan for the Heisei Era by artist Tony Revales that showed up in issue #28 of G-FAN back in the bygone era of 1997(http://www.myspace.com/anthonyrevelas/photos/614921#%7B%22%3A14921%7D).

King Caesar, he sucked in FW, maybe in the 90's he could have been better

O.O That Varan design,as well as Anguirus,Titanosaurus, and Gigan's,looks badass.i would have loved to have seen those on film.

And i liked the little comic of Godzilla vs Ymir(who gives me a dromaeosaur vibe in those pictures)

Yuck. I do not like that design at all.

I think Hedorah would've been PERFECT for a heisei entry. It could continue the Bio-Major storyline from Biollante. Early in that film, it's mentioned the US has made a bacteria that eats crude oil. Imagine if they made a bacteria that ate pollution and gave birth to Hedorah. Plus, Kawakita can mess around with its various forms!

Gaira, the Green Gargantua, I could see making a return in the Heisei era. The writers and producers could have just had it continue from the original flick. Gaira's body fully healed since his apparent death in War of the Gargantuas, and growing big enough to be a challenge to Heisei Era Godzilla. Likewise Sanda could reemerge as well still trying to keep his brother out of trouble again, despite Gaira's refusal to listen.

Now THAT is a pretty cool suggestion. I doubt Toho would've gone for it at the time, since Hedorah's popularity only re-surged in the past decade or so (I used to get razzed for liking old Smoggy in the 90's).

Thanks! Always liked Hedorah too. And I know what you mean about his resurgence in popularity, especially in the collectible toy department lol

That's a pretty clever way to shoe Heddy in. I've always known Hedorah was up until recently an unpopular film, so I'm nowhere near surprised Toho avoided him, especially since Tanaka hated the film. But Angy and Gigan's absences were pretty surprising. Then again, my first year or so of fandom I was completely unaware of Heisei Rodan.
