I think Wataru's idea of a "popular" member is someone who obeys the rules for the most part, is pretty much nice to everyone, and consequently is liked by everyone. Naturally this type of person wouldn't be getting warnings anyway...

If you're talking about people who are generally well-liked but do break the rules occasionally (SG2010, Tyler, Legion, just off the top of my head) these people have been warned and/or temp banned in the past. They probably just broke the rules less than you. It has nothing to do with "popularity".

Ive never had a problem with Tyler, I dont know why people think I do. I find him hilarious. Legion, no. He has his moments - sometimes he's informative and easy-going, sometimes he's a raging asshole. So those two cancel each other out...

I dont 'like' alot of people here but damnit they ARE knowledge and contribute - Goji and GojiFan are big examples. But there are people like SG2010 and Hedorah that sometimes took it too far. I believe it was because MM was doing it and he could get away with it so they joined in. And AD is probably the most useless member of TK. Most of his posts ARE IN THIS THREAD. He came back when MM got off his month ban and all he's done is call people out on being internet bad-asses by being one himself.

Look, people have skated getting warned officially with a 'warning' by being told in thread or PMs to lay off, or cool down of whatever while others have simply got the warning and maxed out for a week long or month long or perma-ban. It happens. It bothers me because I think these people get away with it because theyre buddy-buddy with the colored-name folk. yaburu was the only person who DIDNT follow this and people were bitching about it!

Well, I used to find your one-sentence responses incredibly annoying, (things like "I like his hat" in the Teruyoshi Nakano topic, for example) but it seems like you've learned your lesson in that department, for the most part. I don't personally have a "problem" with you. I was simply commenting on the fact that people hardly seem to ever respond to what you have to say, for whatever reason.

He isn't really any more of an asshole than I am. We all have our bad days. Who's to know that he hasn't gotten warnings before, because it's not like people here let everyone on the board know when they receive one.

No I think it's because he doesn't really post here that often at least from what I can tell so most people just ignore it.

G2K was temp banned at one point, so he's been scolded. Also was dunced at old TK several times. Even I will admit there really isn't any Staff Favoritism anymore.

Well in some aspects here I am still the same. I dont approve of how some members are 'punished' more harshly then others and how some members are treated because theyre not 'popular'.

I dont want New TK to devolve into Old TK but it's moving more and more that way.

I would say don't turn this around into what you don't like about the forums, but I see it's too late for that.

As for the "popular" members, they're treated just as fairly as any other member on this forum now. Everyone is given an equal chance to either follow to the rules or receive warnings until that person is banned. I don't care who the popular members are, because it really doesn't matter anymore.

Anything that happened with members like Hedorah and Spirit Ghidorah were happening before the current staff was brought in (ie, before Stuckey was made an admin), when the forum was still trying to figure things out. So I would say that's fine.

All of this is just proving that, while the forums and some of its members may have changed, wataru certainly hasn't changed.

Kiryu's whole Gwangi thing stems from IR's Arena, in which he was once a part of. Its one of his own created monsters, with powers that end up completely warping reality and... well... see his fan fic for example. He isn't a bad guy or anything, he just invents monsters and characters that are really, really out there. If I had to guess, I would think 'random' is his preferred humour.

As for his age, I think he's 21, but I'm not 100% sure.
