The ONLY way I can see Maguma returning is during the unlikely event of a Gorath remake. Otherwise, he isn't even notable enough to get a tiny cameo appearance!

But even so, I voted for him. Maguma was awesome. He was a pointless giant walrus, and I wish he appeared in DAM ... Why WAS he pulled out of the movie? Any costume issues? Legal copyright problems? They could have replaced Varan with him.

I think Maguma could do well in an "arctic kaiju" movie of its own fghting against humans. The arctic in my humble opinion is a great background for a kaiju film - icy waters of immense depth, isolated science stations, unforgiving weather, giant icebergs, other big aminals like whale sor orca... I think its a fun setting for a kaiju vs humans film.

Havign said that, I don't think Maguma is a good idea ro be faeatured ina kaiju vs kaiju film.

Costume issues probably. Gorath came out in '62, and by 1968 even the old Mothra props of nearly the same age had suffered, not to mention numerous Godzilla suits, and Baragon had undergone a lot of surgery during his time in Ultraman.

But I voted for Megalon. He's just awesome. Way cooler than Gigan, IMO. I'd love to see Jet Jaguar, but, sadly, he's probably too peculiar and dated to work today.

Dogora probably has the most potential for an interesting revamp, though.

Gorosaurus, because he's the most similar to Godzilla and a fight between the two could be downright epic.

Goro was tempting because of his badassery in DAM, but Titanosaurus is just too colorful and unique.

No, it doesn't have a "story". It's likely just a turtle suffering from exposure to radiation.

It was a tough call, but I ended up voting Maguma. I haven't actually seen Gorath, so that might seem like a poor choice, but I picked him based on the fact that he's so different from the standard giant monster. I'd love to see the big walrus revamped and made modernly monstrous.
