Though it doesn't always work. I might not remember a lot of bad things from my past but there are still some bits and pieces I'll never be able to forget or block out entirely. No clue what this says about me as a person or my mental health.
That is psychological repression. Your mind "protects" yourself by "blocking" some of the extremely negative experiences you've had in your life.
On-topic: I just learned that Hudson Soft bit the dust three days ago. They made the Bloody Roar series of games, and also developed most of the Mario Party titles. Shit, this sucks.
