Comic Book Men

Anyone watch the show Comic Book Men on AMC after Walking Dead on Sunday nights?

Its about Kevin Smiths comic shop in NJ. Pretty good show

Some couple brought in a Large Bandai Godzilla 1991 w/box to sell. (More like the girlfriend was making him sell it.)

The comic guys, who mentioned seeing a lot of Godzilla stuff come in the store, called in a Godzilla expert who ended up buying the toy from them for 175 (the girl wanted 200) even though it had a broken tail that was super glued.
Funny what that boyfriend, who looked very hesitant to get rid of it, said though, "Godzilla in a box or girlfriend in a wedding dress?"

It was interesting to watch and nice to hear Kevin Smith say his favorite monster was Mecha-Godzilla!

As a huge comic book fan (and a reasonable Kevin Smith fan), I watch this show every Sunday. I enjoy the hell out of it.

Wasn't the "expert" wrong though? He told them that the first time Godzilla ever looked like that was in 'Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah'?! Wasn't it 'Godzilla vs. Biollante' or am I missing some very small detail in the design of the Godzilla suit between those two films that he was talking about?

it could of been a mistake, but there ARE very small differences in the GvB and GvKG suits.

BioGoji is slimmer, and has a slightly larger head.

Watched this show on its first episode. Found myself laughing pretty hard. They're all nerds, but funny nerds.

I don't really watch this show but I saw the Godzilla toy in a preview and I had to catch that. I thought it was pretty cool. The guy selling it looked really pissed at the end. The 'expert' guy got some stuff wrong but I think it's always cool when this stuff is on a show or something, especially when they're not making fun of it.

As for the toy itself it looked like somebody stuck the 12 inch Trendmasters tail on it. It looked really fat and off compared to the rest of the figure.
