Banepresto Godzilla 2000

I found this figure on Skreeonk and am debating on wether or not I should get it. I love the look, and the color is great, but the thing is so god damn big (18" Long) and I don't have ANY more room on my shelf. XD

Any opinions on this figure?

Get it. It's so awesome. Easily one of my favorite figures I own, and for the price gribdogs is offering it for you can't go wrong. I highly recommend it.

For more affordable Godzilla figures, it's definitely an impressive piece. It's big, yeah, but that's why it's cool.

I'm actually going to be selling my black version of it soon too.

I emailed gribdogs about it yesterday, but I think I'll let you grab it and get something else I have my eye on instead since I do have the green one already.

Can't go wrong with Banpresto!
I have the green variation of the Godzilla 2000 figure, got it as a present on my 11th birthday back in 2002.
One of my favorites. :huge:

He sent me an email this morning saying someone else got to him first! HA! Jomei... you bastard!

By all means, if you want it, take it. :)

Okay, I have emails from both of you. Who wants it? This is easier than shooting emails around all day.

I'll override both of them and pay you 300 for both.

not really.

Let him have it. :o IIRC he had his eyes on those Revoltechs I snagged, so I'll bow out on this one. lol

I realized I'm not sure where I'd put it anyway. And I'm anticipating a major celebratory splurge when I get into grad school, so I'll tuck that money away. Great figure, though. Enjoy it, Zilla103192!

edit: to fix zilla's overly numberous name

I agree. The quality you receive for the money simply cannot be topped. I mostly collect Banpresto's large-scale Ultraman series, but I own that G2000 and it's by far one of my favorite Godzilla figures.

They were cheap, but durable as hell! And the detail is equal or greater than those of Bandai's vinyls. Of the Banpresto Godzilla figures, I have the 12" Godzilla 2000, and '54. Then I also have the 8" Godzilla 2004. I still want to get my hands on the rest of their 8" figures - Kiryu 2004, Godzilla 2005, and Gigan 2005.

Actually I'd say their Kiryu and FW Gigan are little below the 8" Bandais, but their Godzillas are great. I only have a few of their larger Ultraman figures (Seven, Zero and Belial) but their really cool too.

My local anime shop had one of these in stock for YEARS before it closed down last May. I think they clearance it out but I dont remember the price. I love G2K but the head on this figure just doent look right, so I skipped it.

That's because this figure is based on a concept for the movie, not the suit.

anyway, I am waiting for the invoice from gribdog, but other then that, it should be mine! ALL MINE!!

Correct. It's rather different in some areas from the film version, but it's a remarkably sculpted figure nonetheless--plus, its size and its action pose give it a ton of presence on a shelf!

The head is awesome, in my opinion. I love the little quirks that differentiate it from the suit. Though I do love the G2K design, the wider head of the conceptual art makes it feel just a bit closer to the Showa looks, and I approve.

Not a fan of concept art if I think the concept art sucks.

I find the head stupid looking. It looks like KKvsG head given an upgrade and it detracts from the figure.
