HeatUpTheDeathRay wrote:Hello, all. New member here, but lifelong Gojira otaku. I'm wondering if anyone has any input--actual knowledge or just an educated guess--about upcoming Godzilla figures in the X-Plus 30 cm line. I'm a little (okay, a lot) late to the party when it comes to collectibles--I just this week pre-ordered the 30 cm 1964 Rodan, my first X-Plus purchase--and I'd like to have a Godzilla to go along with Rodan and (the upcoming) Mothra imago and Varan releases. (I have a soft spot for Varan, for some reason.) I see that X-Plus has already put out 30 cm versions of, it seems, every Showa-era iteration of G except for 1965's "Daisenso-Goji," and that these are pretty much long-gone unless you want to go the route of eBay, et al.
Do we think a 30-cm Daisenso-Goji will be forthcoming? Or is it too close to Mosu-Goji to make it profitable or sensible for X-Plus to release? I'm really keen on the Showa G designs, less so on the Heisei ones (though they're still pretty boss), and pretty much totally uninterested in the Millennium designs (sorry, Millennium fans).
Thanks in advance for your input, guys and gals!
Actually most of the showa Godzillas have been released in the 25cm scale..with the only figures only available in 30cm scale being king-goji and godzilla 54 and 68. Both lines lack a GTTHM Godzilla, and a few others i can't recall off the top of my head.

I'm patiently awaiting the '62 Godzilla in 25cm scale before I jump hardcore into these.
And skreeonk it, I'll probably stash some of my income tax money aside for the 30cm King Ghidorah that they announced. If there's any monster I wouldn't mind having be slightly out of scale, it's a larger King Ghidorah (or Kumonga for that matter).
No love for 1964 Rodan?
SmogMonster wrote:Nope. The Jirass suit combined the body of the Mosu-Goji suit with the head of the Daisenso-Goji. Its not simply the Daisenso-Goji with a frill added.
Mosu-Goji was also released in 30cm scale.

Smog Monster, do we have a link for this 30-cm MosuGoji? I searched HobbySearch, and was only able to find a MosuGoji in the Toho Large Monsters Series line. Granted, their description of the product says that its height is over 30 cm, but it apparently isn't actually a part of the 30 cm line. So perhaps their product description is off? Or maybe a different one in the 30 cm line might still be coming?

"Toho Large Monster Series" is X-Plus's name for their 30cm line. So that would be the one.

I know that. I've been collecting this line since 2009....I never said that it wasn't.

Besides pictures of the figures, I've got fun stuff uploaded too like posters, artwork, and a friends/foes gallery. I maintain it pretty regularly.

Brad, that sounds great. I'd love to join (you guys know I love my 1973 25cm Godzilla) but unfortunately I'll never get laid again if my Facebook friends knew that I collected Godzilla "toys". I keep it to myself...
