Favorite Monster Battles(Showa)

He's still only battling three monsters in DESTROY ALL MONSTERS; Godzilla, Gorosaurus, and Anguirus. Minya, Mothra, and Kumonga don't intervene until Ghidorah is basically already down and out. Rodan takes off at the start of the battle, and Manda, Baragon, and Varan are nowhere to be seen.

I still don't think King Ghidorah really got his "ass kicked" in MONSTER ZERO. It seems that Godzilla and Rodan just simply annoy the shit out of him, and he can only really take so much.

I'd say Goji and King Caesar against Mechagodzilla. But I thought the Mechagodzilla & Anguirus fight was fun.

Actually, now that I think of it, I think the greatest Showa battle was in King Kong vs. Godzilla when Kinsaburo Furue fought the Giant Lizard!

My favorite battle in the showa series is definately Godzilla vs Mothra larva

Obviously King Kong vs Godzilla in the final battle. I love how kong gets back up roaring after being struck by lightning.
