MST3K: Night of the Blood Beast-- "Steve?" Probably the best line that is repeated through the movie. The actual movie is retry bad, and the ending is disappointing, but that's Mike, Servo, and Crow are there to help viewers through it. The little short at the beginning is hilarious too. I don't understand if there was even any moral or anything, but the gang really riffed it. Definitely one of the better MST3Ks that's still on Netflix. Five garbage parrot faces out of five.

Would you like a pickle?

Last night I watched Batman Begins. I really like this one, almost more than The Dark Knight, but something just makes it a little less...good. Christian Bale's acting is definitely better and I actually like his voice in this one. Gordon could've been in this more, but what he had to do was great. I liked that Alfred was more layered as a character rather than Tim Burton's blind servant/surrogate father. From what he had to work with Cillian Murphy was a good Scarecrow. I just think he could've been done a bit better, not acting wise. I don't think Ra's Al Ghul could've been played by anyone but Liam Neeson. He totally had the, "I can kick your ass, Batman" vibe, and was a great mentor type character. The real problem I had was Katie Holmes as Rachel. To me she didn't have the caring personality that Maggie Gyllenhaal had, more of a "You don't live up to my standards" -dare I say it- M.J. from 3, vibe. She just seemed a little too self-centered or not nice I guess.
And the plot was great. It gave us the first live-action origin of Batman other than, Oh, his parents were shot now he's pissed, origin. It also didn't take too much time over the villains, because in this movie they weren't as big of a part. The parts they filled in were a good amount and their purpose in it was great. The way Batman actually gets his equipment and training is nice to see other than- LOOK AT THE LITTLE MONKEY!-.
Overall, I really like this movie, so I give it 8.5/10.

I finished watching Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla 2, it was good, the part I really disliked the, "Their tiny flying dinosaurs" part, it was just a dumb line, but I give the movie a 3.9/5

Croc- Horribly edited, with most the crocodile scenes being used from a nature video. A very dull cast and unoriginal plot.

Sea Beast- Boring characters, but the plot is a bit better than Croc and the creature is rather nice. Reminds me of the one from The Host. This is probably one of the better of the RHI Maneater series. This was my 2nd viewing along with Croc too.

Night at the Museum. Was being shown for the movie at Snooze at the Zoo last night. I still rather enjoy it. I tone out when Stiller comes on screen. The man is a horrible actor.

Don't Look in the Basement (aka The Forgotten)- Wacko early 70's flick, with some really crazy twist but I found it rather fun because I never saw what was coming in each scene. There was hardly a basement in it besides the little room towards the end.

So, I just watched RUBBER for the first time and all I gotta say is that this movie is the biggest amount of WTFuckery I have ever seen. It's head and shoulders more confusing/funny than the Feast trilogy. The way that the tire dies...at first is funny as hell. 7/10

Dogora

Not very well known Toho kaiju film about a carbon eating space monster that feeds on coal and diamonds. Interesting to see almost the whole cast of "Ghidorah" in this one as well (I guess because both movies were made in the same year).

My friend's little Dramatic Storyboard for this movie we're doing. It wasn't half bad.

Werewolf in a Girls' Dormitory- Slow, a bit boring, but has a decent ending.

The Sphinx (1933)- Not a bad little murder mystery film. Some corny characters, but otherwise enjoyable.

The Grey: A pretty interesting movie, but it's not a very entertaining one. The Grey follows a bunch of guys who survived a plane crash in Alaska. Liam Neelson's character, a hunter, leads the party through the Alaskan wilderness as they try to escape from a pack of very territorial wolves. What happens is that their worst fears occur, for the wolves are determined to kill them. The Grey is a mixture of extensive dialogue and wolf encounters, and the dialogue scenes can be a little boring. The dialogue can get a little philosophical, which can allow you to tell pretty easy that this is no blockbuster film intended to be a hit at the box office, but one that is supposed to convey a message. I enjoy films like this, so I liked The Grey. If you like cold-blooded wolves that only kill along with Neelson's accent, then this is the perfect movie for you. The end was pretty cool.

Gangs of New York (2002) - hadnt seen it in it's entirety until today. Dug it, alot. Though I still loath DiCaprio. Lewis totally owns this and any film he's in

Justice League: DOOM (2012) - nice, obviously set in the Young Justice universe, so that's a plus. Wish they'd QUITE using Barry Allen in EVERYTHING as The Flash. And crow-barring Cyborg in there just because he's in the JLA in The New 52 seemed odd. Couldve substituted any other hero.

Justice League: Doom: picked up the Blu-Ray today. I really enjoyed it. I really loved hearing the old voices from the original Justice League show and the new voices fit. I read the Tower of Babel storyline and enjoyed figuring out how they were going to interpret Batman's plans into the movie. Yet another good DC animated movie. To tell you the truth, I have yet to really be disappointed with one of these movies. The only one would be Green Lantern: First Flight but I blame that on that fact it came out a week after Dad died and wasn't really in the mood.
I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.
