What happened to Manda's horns?

Is this official? I always assumed he was just transported to Monster Island after being frozen, after all we don't see him get shattered like in FW. But if it's a new one then this is the first I've heard of it.

I really haven't had the time, nor the inclination to see Atragon yet. It's not that I think it'll be a bad film, just that I've never bothered to buy it or rent it on Netflix. The same can be said for quite a few other non-Godzilla Toho films, such as Gorath, Space Ameoba, Varan, Battle In Outer Space, most of The H-Man, Dogora, Latitude Zero, and it's been years since I've watched Mothra and King Kong Escapes, to the point where I can hardly remember anything about them.

I'm not saying I won't see these films, just that I haven't bothered to watch them yet.

According to the DAM commentary, it's the same prop from Atragon but they got rid of the horns because it was easier to curl Manda around that bridge without them.

I don't think Atragon is connected to the Godzilla series anyway, so it's just a different version of Manda altogether. Same with other monsters like Gorosaurus, Varan and Baragon.

I'm sure I will enjoy most of them. I really want to see Gorath, but I've never been able to find a Region 1 DVD of the film. I'm pretty sure all the others are on Netflix, but I've got a list of nearly 200 films already there, so I don't know if they'll be up near the top any time soon.

I've seen most of non Godzilla Toho giant monster films. Atrogon, Gorath, Dogora, Mysterians, Latitude Zero, and Orochi the Eight Headed Dragon are the only ones I have yet to see. And The Three Treasures, if that counts.

Always had a soft spot for Manda. I don't mind the fact that he or she didn't have horns in Destroy All Monsters. It is a shame we don't see much of him or her in Final Wars.

True, and it was great to see Manda in the Millennium series, he or she looked great. Hopefully we'll see him or her again in future Godzilla films.

Yeah, and a three headed space dragon, people with psychic powers from other planets, a 300 foot dinosaur that can shoot out nuclear breath as a weapon, monsters surviving through volcanoes being frozen in icebergs and being blasted by comets/meteors, people from the future who skreeonk around with everything to the point the script writer doesn't even know what the hells going on, monsters feeding off of nuclear radiation to survive, cells going into space and creating a new monster, a monster that is part rose and part woman, skreeonk mutant people who fight giant monsters with martial arts and futuristic laser guns, aliens that are part ape/insect, giant robots and monsters that can shoot freaking lasers out of their skreeonk eyes, and giant drill weapons that can fly through the sky, etc., etc., etc., all make a lot of skreeonk sense.

His (Patrick Alan) idea isn't that far fetched.
