Qaenos - Where did you see mention of these? I don't see anything under the "Comming Soon" page.

It on the page for Rodan. My translator has it saying that Varan, Kumonga and a "space monster" are coming soon to go "with it" (Rodan). I think I may know exactly which "space monster" they're referring too, and it sure aint Orga.. .

I guessed King Caesar based off of the Google translation from the 25cm Mechagodzilla page (http://www.ric-toy.ne.jp/item_mechagodzilla74.html).

The part of the Google translation I am referring to reads:

To reproduce the large monster monster legendary Battle of Okinawa Made In OKINAWA finally .… Not made in the Standard King Shisa is also … What is also required (?) ... The second generation of comrades Angirasu Godzilla with it ...

From what I gather from other pages "Standard" refers to the 23cm line. Not sure why they would mention reproducing the Battle of Okinawa and Kingu Shisa (the Japanese name for King Caesar) if King Caesar was not going to be released in 25cm...again, this is just my guess.

it's inevitable that we're now getting all the characters that appeared in DAM. And unless the trend somehow stops..so far it means 30cm scale Varan, Kumonga, and of course, KG.

I'm going to have a serious dilemma on my hands if and when they do release kumonga as I have arachnophobia. I purposely don't have a single kumonga figure in my collection

I do too LOL, and it's SEVERE. I only have one Kumonga (a Marmit) but I might torture myself into buying an X-Plus as I've always liked the character.

I'm curious to find out what the Internet Exclusive is for the 25cm MechaGodzilla. From the Google translation, I would guess it's just a little figure of one of those ape-like aliens from the movie, but that's just a guess. Does anybody who speaks Japanese know for sure?

You aren't going to wait to see what the internet exclusive with flying radon looks like? Maybe they package another 8" figure with it?!

I suspect it'll be more like the Giant Condor that came with Ebirah or the flying MG that came with Mechagodzilla. If I'm wrong, I can always cancel my order with HS.

No tricks, just sign up and order like you would from any American site. It's all in English and not an issue at all. I ordered a Megalon from them a few months ago, piece of cake.

What most of the talk on this thread about dealing with the hassle of third-party Japanese services like JapanToDoor, revolves around trying to get the Internet Exclusives. Those are the editions that come with some sort of bonus and are only sold through the X-Plus store. Unfortunately, the X-Plus store is entirely in Japanese and won't ship to any address outside of Japan. Hence, you have to get some third party Japanese service like JapanToDoor to get involed. Sometimes they buy if for you, sometimes you buy it and just send it to them first, but either way, it gets sent to them and then they send it to you, for a big fee of course, plus the additional cost of shipping to them first. In the end, it's not unusual to pay a huge (>$100) premium in fees and shipping for these "exclusives", in addition to all the headache and hassle. However, if you don't care for the exclusives and you just want to buy the regular version while they can be ordered, Hobby Search is an excellent choice.

Unbelievable. I had no idea you guys were getting abused with such fees. I have a contact that I've dealt with for several years and I just pay him anywhere between 1200-2000 yen extra to handle the transaction for me, and this includes local shipping to his place.

No matter how AWESOME they look, I won't spend that kind of money per figure.
I'm cheap like that. :huge:

I'd like to see them come out with a Gunhed, if they haven't already. Gunhed had a pretty cool design.

The internet exclusives aren't even that cool most of the time, not worth the trouble. Just order the standard editions from Hobby Search.

I wholeheartedly agree. Most of mine are the regular versions. Unfortunately, every now and then the Internet Exclusive version includes something useful (like an extra head, extra arms, eye patch, etc) that makes it really tempting. I did spring for the Internet Exclusive Godzilla 1973 because 1) the 1973 is my favorite version of Godzilla, 2) 1973 version is one of the least represented Gojis in toys/figues/kits so I doubt anything better will come along for a long, long time, and 3) it came with an extra "open mouth" head, in addition to the regular "closed mouth" one.

They did, I think Hobby Japan still has it. About twice the price of Biollante though
