Any surviving showa suits?

For the discussion of Toho produced and distributed films or shows released before 1980.

What, that the suits were (supposedly) burned?

I think it's a shame if it's true, but also slightly funny, considering the reaction to the film.

Yeah. Anguirus, Gigan, and I think Rodan were in the Godzilla Pachinko game from a few years ago (Along with the Mire-Goji and GMK Ghidorah). The story just doesn't add up..They were remarkably expensive to make, and Toho could make more $ from by featuring them in exhibitions, and or things like the aforementioned Pachinko game. It's probably a croc.

Don't forget about Minilla and Mothra!
But yeah,I think Toho should've done something else with the suits other than put them in a game aswell.
Give Zilla a chance.

And we should film it too. Then go back, take all the classic suits we cremated in the film and edit them out with CGI, ya know, just to piss the fans off? And then put the movie on about five different home media releases, and switch the classic scene in for one, back out for CGI on another, back in again for the Blu-Ray, and some kind of mesh-up of the two for a 3-D release.

This is sad, the Showa series was my favorite, I love the classics! I'm heartbroken right now! I seen King Kong, Gigan, Gorosaurus, and a few Godzillas in there, what about King Caesar's Showa suit? Is it ok?

Yes, it's perfectly preserved in a glass case in a special display room at Toho somewhere. Because they know you love him so much.

You're kinda asking for it..I mean, do you really think a 38 year old monster suit is still in good condition? You must realize how silly you're being..right?

Wouldn't be surprised if there's one somewhere for some movie.

I never said it would be in perfect condition, I just wanted to know whether or not it's some where in Toho Studieos or something....

Suits and props from the late nineties are reportedly to be no more then piles of vaguely monster shaped goo. Anything from the sixties would be degraded almost to the point of basic nonexistence.

Young fans, bro. It's like there's someone who prepackages their opinions.

Its still disconcerting.

Lil deformed reptiliomorph transforming into a giant deformed reptiliomorph. There's something not right about that, man.
