I've dealt with this seller before. You will get your item packed well and shipped not fast, but reasonably paced. I have to say that the Godzillas I received from him had yellowing plastic. However, the non-Godzilla figures have all been pristine. In addition, I had purchased a couple Spacegodzillas from him only to have him cancel all but one. He claimed that they were listed incorrectly and that he didn't have that many, so he gave me a discount on some other items. Lo and behold, the Spacegodzillas showed back up at a higher price a few days later.

As a big TM collector, I will tell you that the last time a Doom Island Spacegodzilla was available was in 2006, so if you're into Trendmasters and Doom Island, this is your chance. I've nearly finished out my retail Doom Island collection, and that was because of this seller. As to pricing, when Spacegodzilla was sold in 2006, he was part of the complete set of 6 figures, and the whole lot went for around $100. You have no idea how angry at myself I was for not being able to afford it at the time...

By the way, he also has the Supercharged Godzilla, so that's the full collection of 6" figures from one seller. Also has the Godzilla and Mechagodzilla dino sets.

Taiwan?

Is he a Taiwanese pirate? Did he and his comrades loot a cargo carrier with these toys back in the late 90s on it's way to America?

^ Uh oh! I hear some unfounded profiling going on...

...But yeah, my guess is that this dealer is a ruthless savage of the high seas, lording over a pirate paradise built on a foundation of blood and ill-gotten vinyl.

I didn't know those particular figures had DOOM ISLAND card releases, much less Baragon, Varan and Megalon having repainted versions different from the GODZILLA WARS line. Definitely interesting.

Varan is interesting to me. The rest appear to be meh. Godzilla and Space Godzilla are just repaints of the same figures. Blah.

They're all repaints, but I think they're much better than the standards. The black wash just makes these figures, for me.
The only new figures in Doom Island was the 10" Biollante and some unreleased figures.

Trendmasters's redesign. A lot of people hate it. I remember being confused about it as a kid. What was worse, the back of the boxes showed a different Biollante from what was released.

^ Yeah dude..I remember seeing pics of the prototype in issues of both G-Fan and Action Figure Digest. When the figure finally came out, it looked completely different. I'm not sure that I like either of them all that much, but the figure we finally got isn't too horrible (IMO). I especially like the 10 inch version (mostly because of the head and tendrils), but I never came across it in retail..

As far as I can tell, they were released primarily overseas.
Both of mine came from Taiwan - though one came from Taiwan through Yahoo Japan

I'd like to know what the hell happened that they put the sensor over the head. It really does take away from the figure...

I was going to ask about that...they could have made the head bigger, and more detailed if that wasn't there. It's been a while since I've seen it,and I had forgotten about that aspect of it. Maybe the 5 inch version did haves better head..either way, I still dig this figure for some
reason.

I could have sworn I've seen it packaged in the GODZILLA WARS packaging too, which is why I thought that it may have originally been available in the U.S. as well, and that it was just extremely rare. It's possibly that I just imaged that.

Those tendrils look great, but the legs, the legs kill it. How much does it usually go for on Ebay?

I was the same. I dunno where I got the idea. I was thinking it was ClubTokyo, but upon further inspection, they have a Doom Island figure pictured.

As to pricing, I don't know that many have sold. I think the last guy was asking $400 or so? There was another, I think, that went for around $200-something a year or two prior. I paid about $120 with deputy fees for the first, and about $80 with deputy fees on the second. Mind you, that was back in 06 on the first, and about 3 or 4 years ago on the second.

This was the seller I bought the second one from: http://class.ruten.com.tw/user/index00.php?s=tkofattack

It's not like there is a set price you can sell it for (or any collectible for that matter). Unless you live overseas and found it in retail, you must have paid a lot to get one in the first place. If you want to resell it, put it up for a random price of your choice and see what happens.

Hesei, do you know if any of the armored Anguirus figures ever made it out? I know the Kumonga's did. I've seen one at one of the dealer's tables at G-Fest a couple of times.

The best way to judge the price of an item is to go n ebay, search for it and then check Completed Listings and see what previous auctions sold for.

Keep in mind, what someone pays on eBay, is not what you'll get if you sell it to a comic book, toy or pawn shop. I mean look at this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Trash-Packs-Kin ... 3f1424531c

A Trash Pack King Rat toy for $207.50. That's insane for ONE rubber 1'' toy.

I kinda explained the pricing of this figure in the post immediately before yours...

Last one selling in the US on eBay was in the $200-250 range. Another seller tried two or three years later for around $400, but was unable to sell it, from what I understand. He may have sold it elsewhere, but I do not recall seeing it on ebay... and again, I'm a TM nut, so I do pay attention to this stuff. I feel stupid for not archiving those auctions, but I just wasn't thinking about it at the time.
EDIT: FOUND IT! Listed at $249.99 and closed at the end of April, 2008, though now that I see the auction, I don't think it sold. This may have been the one that went for $250 or was re-listed down from $400. I don't have any notes, and I only have the response from the seller. I gave him some information about the figure, but I just don't remember what it was!

EDIT 2: Pretty sure this was the first. I bought the second Biollante off Ruten in March of 2009. I remember seeing another Biollante on eBay after that, so the $400 one must have come later.

Now, if you're talking about the 6" Biollante, that tends to go for around $50-75 (crazy, I know). There have been a few sellers asking $100, but I don't think those sell very well.

Trendmasters prices have been very inflated the last few years. Still, I don't know how much demand there is for Biollante. If the last one and perhaps the one before didn't sell, who knows what you could get for her. The 10" Space G pushes $100 in some cases, but that's boxed. And usually it's when a glut of 10" figures show up. I used to think Biollante was the pinnacle of TM Godzilla collecting, but I may have been more alone in that than I thought considering the low demand. I guess with the Mega Mutations and Animated protos FINALLY hitting the web, a production phase 10" Biollante just doesn't cut it. Still don't see why. Despite the odd head, she's one of my favorites. I have her taking center place on the wall above my desk.

As to armored Anguirus, I'm after that and a boxed Kumonga.
Both made it out, and there was an Angy at G-Fest a few years back, but I have no idea what it sold for or if it did.
Actually, there was a very cool incident a few years back (EDIT: May of 2007) where a guy in St Louis picked up both Angy and Kumonga for $2 or $3 each at a flea market! He asked the folks over at CT if they were rare and if he should let his son play with them. Of course, we told him how rare they were, but that he should let his son enjoy them. Pretty cool find, there.

Then the other Kumongas were bought up and sold on ebay for like $300 and then $250, I think? But that is the only thing I know about an Armored Anguirus outside of the CT photos. Heck, I don't think I've even seen prototypes... which is really annoying.
How much were the Kumongas going for at GFest? I've been looking for these two forever!

Sorry for the late reply, Hesei.

I can't recall exactly how much the Kumonga was going for (I may have asked the guy, and I remember it being quite expensive, possibly as high as $300), but the same guy had it in 2009 and 2010. I wasn't able to make it last year, so I'm not sure if he still has it. He had at least one of the Doom Island dinosaur packs as well (I believe the Godzilla one with the two carnivores).

The odd thing about the Kumonga figure was that it came with an Anguirus card, and in the other Trendmasters thread, it's been speculated that he may have been the only monster to not get a card of his own.
