Im going to just have to try getting the new ones that I like as they come out from sites like hobby search. Its amazing how difficult it is to be a x-plus fan. I only have godzilla and angurius 1955 black and white 25cm verisons, and the king ghidorah x-plus statue that i think really goes in scale with them, im thinking of getting gigan, then ill kinda have a godzilla vs. gigan thing going on even though the godzilla and angurius are not the correct suits.

HobbySearch and sites like that are great for the regular versions. Unfortunately, if you want the "Internet Exclusive" versions, you have no choice but to either go through eBay or buy off the X-Plus website with third party services like JapanToDoor.

No probs. Just offering to help if ya'll were interested.

Here's some quick math on the recent exclusive...

eBay - $419 or $462
If you had purchased yourself from X-Plus and used JTD - Approximately $350 ($250 for the set and another $100 for JTD).

Does anyone know how well the Ultraman Large Monster Series line from X-Plus scales with the 25cm line of Toho monsters? In particular, I was looking to get Kodaigon (http://www.ric-toy.ne.jp/museum_daikaij ... aigon.html), and I was wondering how he would look with my Godzilla 1973.

Looks like someone got their wish - 25cm Mothra Imago. Congrats!

X-Plus, if you are listening, I'd be very happy if you released a 25cm King Caesar (Showa) to go along with the 25cm 1973 Godzilla and the 25cm 1974 Mechagodzilla. :)

Two godzilla x-pluses that I want to purchase are the 25cm 1967 and 1964 internet exlusives, so i started getting curious about japan to door, it sounds like (but I could be terribly wrong) but it sounds like all you have to do is tell japantodoor the item you wish to purchase and they will bid on your behalf for the item. So it SEEMS like you will get the item no matter what. I tried going on the japan to door website and type in godzilla x-plus but then the website always takes for ever to load then it just shows me an error screen...so i dont know whats going on with that...

Are those Internet exclusives still even available for purchase from X-Plus? I mean most, if not all, of the previous regular X-Plus releases are sold out from the normal (Japanese) retail channels. Other than a handful of releases, the only way to get these X-Pluses is post-retail sources like eBay. I can't imagine the Internet exclusives still being available from X-Plus when you can't even order a regular version. I was under the impression that the window for ordering from X-Plus is very small...

i thought japan to door, would bid on the x-plus figures from a japanese auction website, which is why they would have to bid on your behalf and then send the item to you. Im sure the x-plus figures sell out very fast on their website.

here's a pic of the only two x-plus figures i have, besides the x-plus ghidorah statue. Thought I show them since there isn't to many pictures in this forum.

You're both right!

The Internet Exclusives can be purchased via the X-Plus website through the date they accept pre-orders, they don't sell out. It's just that when the date passes, no other orders can be placed. They make enough for the orders that are placed and that's it. However, there are a few exceptions like the Wonderfest exclusives and the 1968 Gorosaurus from last year. Those are special and are limited to an exact number, which are sold exclusively at the Con and/or the X-Plus website.

Michael - Regarding JTD... yes, you can get them to bid on an item on a Japanese auction site for you but as I said it's extremely expensive. They charge you a percentage of your bid and there's no guarantee you'll win the item. Plus, there are fees to wire or send them the money since they won't bid until the money is sitting in your account. Then, if you win, there's the forwarding costs. A LOT of fees. You may be better off waiting to see if any of these surface on eBay. Or, contact some of the regular eBay sellers and see if they know of any available. Did you find what you're looking for for sale on a Japanese auction site? They won't look for you, you have to have found it yourself and then provide them with all the information. Then they'll bid on it for you. To make things more difficult, you have to get your account funded and allow enough time to enter your request and have them see/process it. Auctions sometimes end in 3-5 days making the timing of everything a bit intense.

Another possibility is the Japanese Amazon site. X-Plus sells their stuff through them too... usually, the older stuff ends up here and in some cases the internet exclusives as well. You would use the "Shop at Japan Only websites" and forwarding service in that case but I haven't used it before so I'm not sure of the details and/or fees involved.

More pics for the thread. This time comparing the 1973 Internet Exclusive 25cm Godzilla with the 1973 25cm Godzilla from Winter Wonderfest 2012. There was a post earlier saying that this figure is the same. Although they are close, there are not the same. There are small differences.

http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/51354967 ... 3?h=44e87f

The original is on the left, the 2012 WF is on the right. The biggest difference is the arms. Also, the mouth on the 2012 WF is more open.

The paint job is better on the 2012 WF version too (on the right again). Notice how all three rows of the fins are colored silver on the tail in the 2012 version, but only the middle row is silver in the original. Does anyone else with an original 1973 25cm Godzilla have the same issue? Perhaps mine was a manufacturing defect. Of course, I never noticed it until I put the 2012 version up next to it.

Hundreds. The cheapest ones are usually $150, while the more expensive ones can go for up to $600. Usually, it's between $170 and $350.

Keep in mind that they are all limited releases and they go "new" for about $120 for the 25cm and $180 for the 30cm in Japan. Add in $20 - $50 shipping, and that's usually the cheapest you can find. Once you can't buy them in Japanese stores anymore, the price gets higher...

Thanks for posting the link to these photos! I'd been hoping for a better look at both versions of the "open mouth" G '73.

A fellow collector had told me that the open-mouthed head that shipped with the Internet exclusive was intended to be G '74, but I disagree. The eyes still look like Megaro-Goji, to me... and at any rate, the placement of the fins doesn't match G '74; so I'm still hoping we get an X-Plus Godzilla '74 or '75.

This is definetely G'73 and not '74. I looked at some pics of G from vs Megalon and vs MechaGodzilla and the fins definetely match the Megalon version. I'm actually extremely happy with the figure. It doesn't photograph well, but looks great in person.

Rodan is up on X-Plus main site:

http://www.ric-toy.ne.jp/item_rodan30.html

If my translator is correct...

30cm Varan, Kumonga and a "space monster" are coming soon.

"Space monster"?

Hmmmmmm...

Space monster? Put my money on King Ghidorah.

Here's the page for the 25cm MechaGodzilla.

http://www.ric-toy.ne.jp/item_mechagodzilla74.html

My translator sees the words "Kingu Shisa" and the "Battle For Okinawa" buried in the text...sounds like my favorite kaiju (after G of course) King Ceasar may be getting his turn soon...

OMG... Rodan, Mothra, Varan, Kumonga, King Seesar, & potentially King Ghidorah? I think I just had a nerdasm!!

Qaenos - Where did you see mention of these? I don't see anything under the "Comming Soon" page.

FYI - Looks like the Rodan exclusive is a "flying Rodan". There's also an exclusive for the 25cm MechaGodzilla but I couldn't quite make it out. Sounded like a mini bad guy ala the Mu man that comes with Manda.

Hey Brad, it appears that X-Plus is referring to the Flying Fortress by its original name, Radon. When I translated the page it was repeated multiple times.
