Thats kinda what I'm talking about. Competitive players see Weezing and go "lol weezing sucks heatran rapes it." But because they dismiss it as a non-threat, its just that much easier for me to use it.

Its one of those pokemon that people just forget about, and because they forget about it, they arent prepared to stop it when it does rear its ugly head in the game.

I mean, Weezing got Stockpile this gen (which raises DEF and SP. DEF 1 stage). I'd love to see how viable a Max HP, Max SP. DEF Stockpile Weezing would be as a general wall, especially with pokemon like Excadrill and Conkeldurr on the scene.

Still sucks that it doesnt get any good recovery moves though.

Excadrill is uber in Smogon tiers, by the way. Not a ban I 100% agreed with, but I don't really miss him, either.

It's cool if you can use Weezing in standard, but it's hard to deny that it's outclassed. If it works and you like it, use it. I just think there are better choices, and I like the vast majority of Pokemon, so I don't find it hard to choose Pokemon that are 1) strong and suited to their role on a team as well as 2) appealing to me aesthetically.

The fact that you had the sheer audacity to use such a word, needlessly, belies your claim of removal. It's that kind of attitude that makes a sect of competetive battlers absolute assholes to try and talk to.

It doesn't belie anything. If you were just talking about following Karen philosophy in-game, then what I said doesn't apply to you. I'm talking about the senselessly Smogon-hating, tier-hating, clause-ignorant swarm of Karenites who loudly proclaim their righteousness on Pokemon forums across the internet, chiefly on /vp/ and similar cesspools.

They are the types who cry about Smogon's alleged hypocrisy in banning Swift Swim + Drizzle combos then watch as I climb to #1 on their attempt at a /vp/ server using a Drizzle+Swift Swim team I built in 5 minutes.

They are the types who complain about lack of "originality" when people use "legendaries," not realizing that "legendary" is a completely meaningless status in competitive battling--and that, contrary to their ill-informed perspective, many "legendary" Pokemon are relatively non-threatening.

They are the types who complain about people "whoring" out the strongest Pokemon; because, after all, it's easier to complain than to get better.

If this is not you then just calm your butt.

I play smogon rules and Weezing is a good wall.
It's true though not all pokemon are good like sorry to say sunflora is pretty shitty.

Weezing's not the best choice in OU these days but, interestingly, he can check some major threats pretty well. Terrakion, Landorus, and Dragonite all have a tough time getting around him. The issue is finding a reason to use him over Gliscor, who fills the same role of checking ground/fighting threats while having better things it can do in its own right and a better form of recovery.

Weezing hasn't changed much and has always been a pretty good wall, but he's got tough competition for team spots and some troubling new foes.

edit: lol I also still have a couple screens from battles I had with the last Karenite who was spamming up a thread with his anti-Smogon rhetoric. He objected to Blaziken's ban, so we allowed its use.

Exactly. I'm all for live and let live, but when I refer to Karenites, I'm not talking about people who just play casually. I mean people who competitive battle but, in essence, object to people competitive battling better than they do. Or the ones who claim that things like sleep clause are ruining the game for them... when no one is forcing them to play that way. They're free to battle the ten year old down the street if they don't like community-approved rules.

I don't follow tiers. I just use what Pokemon fits my teams or ones I like. I also don't use legendaries, mainly because it's hard as hell to get the nature you want. I do have a super-legendary team that I use for the console games just in case the rest of my teams aren't up to it, like the final master battle in Battle Revolution.

Scratch my Drought Vulpix request, I got one via GTS! I'm still open for a female Swift Swim Poliwag or Drizzle Politoed. I'm also open for a female Cacnea with Water Absorb if anyone has one.

More or less same here. I just create a balanced team that 1. I like and 2. gives me good type coverage. Granted, I've had to abandon some pokemon that while awesome, just weren't bringing what I needed to fights (Golurk, poison types in general). I also avoid using legendaries because it feels kind of cheap. If I'm really stuck I'll bust out somebody heavy-duty, but I try to avoid it. It works for me, but I rarely battle human players. I mostly play with STAB and call it a day... I'm just not dedicated/care enough to spend hours figuring out IV/EV breeding, and then spending even more time actually doing it.

Excuse me Poke-gents, but I do have one more question to ask, at least to those who had experienced most of the pokemon games completely.

I've been reading from experienced players that for those interested in having a powerful Steel Pokemon, that they should obtain an Aron. Saying that in the hands of a good trainer, this pokemon will become a powerful member to use during tough battles. Especially when it becomes an Aggron.

However, some other players feel that its best to obtain an Axew since its both a dragon and steel type pokemon, and is considered more powerful that Aron due to Axew's final stage and how in that stage, in the right hands of a great trainer, that pokemon could take out nearly an entire team of pokemon with levels in the 70's all by itself.

So the question I want to ask is, which is better? I'm highly interesting in obtain one of them, and I understand that they come from different games. But I am curious in knowing which one is better. I don't know what Axew's final form is though, so please excuse my ignorance of not knowing more about that particular pokemon.

It's pure Dragon.
